  • its not that it was 'for a langster' its that i thought it looked lovely and was worth it, there is no 'langster' left on my langster, and soon not even the frame will remain

    And it's a Nitto stem

  • DA or suntour superbe.

  • Paul and Phils both look very similar IMO, Royce hubs are just ludicrously expensive, as are white industry ones, sure their great though

The only thing similar about Pauls and Phils is the colour and the fact that you lace them to a rim.

  • Never been a fan of Paul or Phil. Maybe I just have bad connotations with the names.

  • ^^pretty similar designs

  • Royce are only about £50 a pair more than Phils. Not that much in the grand scheme of hipster vanity wheels.

  • Never been a fan of Paul or Phil. Maybe I just have bad connotations with the names.

    But, they're so pretty...

One has solid flange, one has cutouts.

  • Prefer my WI's ^^

  • true that, looking good, so many great hubs

  • Are any of these boutique hubs machined from a forging? If not,

  • Campag Pista ftw.

  • Never been a fan of Paul or Phil. Maybe I just have bad connotations with the names.

I have their freewheel hubs (for five-eight speed block) and it's a real beaut.

  • But, they're so pretty...

    :)

  • DA or suntour superbe.

    This is the choice.
All the others are not the option.

    ....Mack?

  • mavic

  • everyday, sealed bearings are best though

  • DT hubs are brilliant. I wish they made non-cassette hubs :-(

  • Just finished building the above Phil's with tb14, so Gangsta got blacked out today.

As I took phil hubs from my Roberts build, it's getting different wheels two, hubs are Dura Ace 7600.

So my choice would be Phil or DA.

    Gangsta today:

  • ^ Nice

My concorde fixed is all finished now, despite not having fitted a hidden fifth bolt on my odd crank arm/chainring mix, lovely to ride.
EDIT: I didn't even know i had fluorescent tyres until i took this pic haha

  • ^^ Right, need a Gangsta in my life now. Dr. P, if you don't mind me asking, what size frame is that and how tall are you?

  • I'm 6 ft. Frame is a Long version.

  • definitely Mack hubs

  • I'm 6 ft. Frame is a Long version.

I'm just a smidgen taller than you so just wanted to know roughly how much seatpost I'd have showing.
