Quick crappy phone pic of my cadex, not 'finished' as such, but roadworthy.
Waiting for some matching blue outers and black tape (I reckon it's a bit overkill with the grey group/cable/rims/tape as it is). Eventually I'll put a matching headset, seatpost and some black tyres on it. I will get a better pic and some other deets when the new tape goes on.
Cheers to Roadrash, Tel, PeterV and all the other guys who helped me get this together :)

I am going to do a paintjob on my 1988 Raleigh Record Ace. It is a 64cm (old measurements) frame and I have every intention of keeping it as long as I can.
Now, I would like to replace the aging Shimano 600 headset (the bloke who had it before me had the wrong sized bearings in it and made a bit of a mess of it) but am concerned about the entire Raleigh 26TPI Thread on the steerer tube thing. If i look at it logically, Shimano would not have done a special run just for the Raleigh stuff but I just want to check to make sure that a normal 1" ISO headset will fit.

It's a stayer, you can tell because the forks are backward...
I promise, one day it will be build up correctly, as a stayer :)

on paper, this frameset offers a lot of value for money. I will find out in a couple of days if it is as uncomfortable as some people in my club have assured me. but then again, why should anyone ride a racing bike if comfort's their thing :D

^^ It's a C4 Mix 1997 frameset, main tubes (and fork) are carbon, rear triangle is aluminium. they were one of the first to master the art of carbon monococque bike construction.

Groupset is 2010 11 speed Chorus Carbon. Chris King headset. Used it 1 season, built it up new in March 2011. I'll let it go for 950 Euros posted.
It will come without pedals, with Campagnolo [strike]Shamal[/strike] Zonda wheels and a cheap saddle, I'm keeping the Flite. New Chorus 11 chain will be supplied though!
pm if you're really interested...

I picked up the spruced up 1987 Ron Cooper on Saturday. Immensely happy with the way it's turned out and with the SRAM Force it rides better than ever. I didn't quite manage to get it through the front door before taking a pic though.
More here on developments over the past few weeks:

Just put some stuff on the Klein.
Need to change the chainrings to something black and maybe the front mech.
