There is as soon as you tell us the BB spec of the frame. Canyon's site is hopeless in that respect, so it's up to you to find out, then we can either tell you what BB adapter to buy or laugh at you for buying cranks which are never going to fit your new frame.
please start laughing at my n00bness, ordered these as well last week. I'd better stick to classic bikes methinks :-/

taken about six months to collect all the bits, so tomorrow is the day the colnago gets built up:

Record 11s cranks, SR levers and gears/other juicy bits. Should make for a decent ride.

light coloured cotton tape will not stay nice for longer than a week if you ride every day.
1+ but they look great when used, "beausage" if you must, like those nicely worn Carradice bag.

I'm all for the vintage look...watches, guitars, anything made of leather. But that just looks shite and knackered to me.

I can understand Ed's point of view... but for a couple of quid and some effort... shellac is brilliant. it makes your bartape live forever

• #56365
Shellac is brilliant, but I love the soft feel of the cotton after a short while.

Stripped all the gash silver rattle-can off of my Sid Mottram to reveal what's left of a rather appealing sort of duck-egg colour. Not enough to rescue it, and some other colours going on in there too. I've stripped some of it off, but I quite like what's left on the seat tube, so I might leave it (will be my rat bike for now)...
The Mottram continues to gain momentum... Headset fitted yesterday. Looks good with the fork on properly. I think the proportions are quite good.
Parts acquired so far:
Saddle - Supercorsa
Cranks - Andel fluted with 44t 3/32 chainring
16t 3/32 Track cog
BB - Shimano basic sealed
Bars - Profile Airwings
Pedals - Suntor Superbe NJS (got to pick them up next week)
Wheels - Surly
Headset - Tange Levin
MKS alpha sport double Toe straps
Cross-top lever (I think it's the correct clamp)Parts needed:
80 - 100mm long 26mm quill stem
Seatpost (unsure on size due to clamp issues)
Chain
Double toe clips
Front brake calliper (50mm drop)Almost complete! I have to cut down the fork steerer too. Will do that this weekend I reckon.
