-
• #56305
its the ROAD WARRIOR!!!!111!!! and yes, 9 or 10 speed campag ideally, depends on what parts i can get cheap. This does mean i will have replaced all my alu bikes with steel ones now though.

You left out stem shifter that are popular amongst American bicycle;
Quill stem I do not want.

lushhhhhhh
i'm glad the newspaper force fields have worked to your advantage against royal mail attacks -
• #56308
oh yeah, and this looks about 1000000000000 times better than the current roadie, sorry! ))

MementoMori - why do your spacers have bolts in them? I like how you can velcro yourself to your saddle.
-
• #56310
Spotter - that frame's just begging for Athena 11 speed.
-
• #56311
^^ They're the stembolts not spacers.

Carbon stem body with aluminium ring clamps instead of the more usual threaded inserts. Simples.
Porky and expensive though, hard to see what it does that a Pro Vibe 7S doesn't do for half the price and a little less weight. -
• #56315
I understand that much. I just don't understand why.
-
• #56316
Neither do I. In the face of light and cheap net-shape forgings, I don't see the point of any carbon road race/XC MTB stems.

i'm giving serious thought to these for my touring bike.
I got this in the post today
touring with that rigid forks?
-
• #56318
it's a perfect nervius "corsa" frame
-
• #56319
Cheers, yeah think the stem looks alright, saddle is at that angle due to my epididdyoschitis... less ball ache wins over aesthetics any time for me (:
Then get a better saddle you tart!

Is it just me or would they spoil the bike? Am I being a dick? Anyone got any suggestions for "classic" shaped bar with short reach and mid to shallow drop? Thanks.
I accidentally purchased a Ritchey Classic 42cm bar y'day which you can have or 20 quid. No clamp marks.

Spotter what's the size of that frame? I could be interested if you fancy selling.

Cheers, and you're right it does look better. I dont really use the road warrior, i probably because I don't like the way it looks, as shallow as that sounds. Also couldn't get on with that saddle and I didn't have a spare that I found comfortable enough. I wonder how much to sell it for...
Spotter - that frame's just begging for Athena 11 speed.
You has £550 for me? no? thought not, 10 speed it is.
touring with that rigid forks?
no dont be silly, this is my touring bike
it needs new brakes, bigger tires, better mudguards, easier to use shifters and the lever placement tweeking.
it's a perfect nervius "corsa" frame

The Hip Hop Stealth Bomber is almost finished. I need an inline seatpost and when the compensation for my crash comes through I'm going to splash out on black Omniums and a black Zen chainring. The surprisingly good rattlecan job on the frame and the unbelievably shoddy job on the cranks will be repaired at some point, the cranks will be removed and the frame repainted, either in matte black with gloss decals, or in very dark gunmetal.
Please excuse badly angled photo

spotter, very nice frame. i built a couple up recently from campagnolo parts acquired last year. the veloce 8 speed was about £200 for chainset, rd, fd, brakes and levers. the chorus 10 speed about double that. be aware that most of the older stuff on ebay will require servicing or mending

Nothing stopping me getting an 8 speed GS and using a 10s rd and shifters though is there?
