Enve has been around since 2010 .. before they changed the name Edge was 3 years old. So not even a decade in total. And for your information only the wheel rims are made in the USA. I'm not saying anything about the product .. but the forks in my opinion are better the Easton, and I've ridden EC90 SL and Enve 2.0.
I should have been more specific. The company is not old, but they (as individuals) are not new to the industry.
ENVE has a strong composites background, specifically in the bicycle industry. Our engineers have worked for bike industry companies such as Schwinn/GT, Specialized, Felt, Reynolds and Easton. In fact, you're looking at over 30 years of carbon experience - and that's just on the engineering side.

Now rolling on Hope SP-XC6's laced to DT4.2 and the bike is 500g lighter for it, thinking of going tubeless and swaping my lardy F100 RLT's for carbon rigids in a bid to save more weight, thoughts?

You'd be flying in the face of centuries of experience showing that suspension makes you faster in spite of the apparent weight penalty.

been loving riding this lately, every part was free (even the frame, it has a big hole in the seatpost) apart from the pedals.

I'm riding an Inbred too, wish it was a 853 version though!
I'm just waiting for a pair of these to turn up -
Trigon MC01A - Claimed under 500g, axle to crown of 415mm, rake 45mm, £125 on eBay.
They're from the same company that make the Ritchey WCS 3K forks (around £400) and are pretty much identical as far as I could find out.
I'm currently running tubeless and it does save a lot of weight and improves the handling, so I'd say go for it.
One word of advice though, unless you're running tubeless specific tyres, make sure you give them a good scrubbing with soapy water as they'll probably have an anti bonding agent to stop the latex sticking to the tyre molds which you'll want to get off so that the latex sealant can work. How are you finding the Hope Pro 3s? I've been thinking of getting a set with the crest rims but worried they won't be strong enough (bit of a clydesdale).

Well I've ridden them once in the park so can really comment at the moment, superlight and I picked mine up 2nd hand for a fraction of the price. The only downside I an see so far is the straight pull spokes, and get the SP-XC 6 bolts ones not the SP-XC 3 with the 3 bolt spider.

^Really like this. A lot. (Except maybe the brake lever, when I did this it was hard to use/uncomfortable.)
Also it proves that I was right and my friend is an idiot in the argument we had about whether gumwalls look awesome with black frame and rims.

Thanks! The lever is Te problem I'm not happy with it, I've tried bar ends and the reach wasnt comfy! Might try some aeros see how that goes! As for position of the lever feels comfy still got room for my hands on the flat part of the bars!
not really
