You go through so many bikes Sumo. Do you not think an electronic groupset is not a bit ott for a half mile commute?
That's what the Pinarello will be for.
So what will the carbon bike be used for?
If I have a lump sum of money saved up I tend to whittle it away on things I don't really want or need.
So, for instance, on an electronic groupset?
Expensive wallhanger...

^Hi there.
The carbon bike is for proper rides, such as not commuting. -

I think you missed my point...

Kinda what my bike aspires to be when
it grows upmy cash flow permits. Except less subtle and tasteful. What drilling are the PX tubs, and what are they like? Flexy, ridable, etc.?
The front is 20h and the rear 24h, I don't think they offer them in any other drillings. Both came in around 20g overweight at ~270g, other than that they've been good.
I'm a lightweight at 60kg but they only seem slightly flexier than my other 50mm carbon clincher wheelset (Soul C5.0) and don't suffer from brake rub when sprinting/climbing out of the saddle.I've built them to Dati hubs with DT Aerolite spokes (aluminium nipples on front wheel and brass on the rear) and I've been pleasantly suprised by the ride quality. I'm sure the supple feel of the tubs only magnifies this. My main aim was weight but if you wanted a stiffer wheel then you could use DT Comp spokes, pay attention to the flange spacing on your hubs and maybe add some crosses when lacing.

Caygill, chromed ends, sculpted aero-tubes. Transplant job from another bike. Early birthday present, like all good men should.

Most certainly the former.

Love this, I wonder though if it would look good with some straight bladed carbon forks... could look awesome against the white.

If that's a 27.2, I probably have the perfect seatpost for it.

no, just some nice clean straight bladed carbon forks.
I've never been a fan of that type of steel forks.
also, your boys Argos needs a black flite (:

The unicrown fork? Nether am I, as it does look cheap, I like the Cinelli gazette fork, which I think compliment the frame more than the carbon.

Just had a crack at lug lining with a paintbrush, been on the list of random stuff to do for a while now. Fairly happy with it for a first attempt.

Someone advised me to use a fine paint pen for it, easier to get it neat. Looks like you dun aright though.
