Is it just me who thinks that, for a custom made bike, this is too small?
It's very nice but given the amount of seatpost showing and the handlebar position, it would have made sense to make the frame slightly larger, no?

All I can think of is that the customer don't want to straddle the bike when off the saddle due to the higher BB (can't tell from photo) of a track/fixed wheel bicycle frame.

the inline seatpost suggests if the frame was larger then the riders position relative to the bottom bracket would be awkward.

Anyone used the 25c Schwalbe Ultremo double defence?
Thinking of swapping over from the gator I currently have on the rear, for commuting/winter riding. -

My girlfriends bike I've been helping her put together recently.
Only need to get seatpost/seat/downtube shifter/chain/crank nuts,
the rest is either not fitted in the pics or en route in the post. Should come to ~£300 in total..
Set up the brakes yesterday, but as I feared they feel spongy :S with the brake cables moving slightly under the bar tape :/ may have to visit the LBS for a professional service if it's a problem when it's built up and when riding... now for the pics apologies for the resolution,
just ask if you want any info on the parts -

Can you post clearer pics of the brake cable routing?
Brakes are something that you should be able to sort yourself. Have a read of the Park Tool's online guide in the interim.

You do need to tape the cables to the bars quite firmly first, before you apply the bar tape. The other thing to look for is to make sure the ends of the cable outers are clean and flat where they have been cut, and to have metal ferrules over the ends wherever they will fit.

I'll do so ASAP, but it's at my gfs place :/
And I've taped them down underneath the bartape with electrical tape at like 5 points,
although I didn't put on the metal ferrules, and searching for a pic to describe the lever-cable set up i think i know where I've gone wrongThe holes for the cable aren't large enough for the housing to go in like a brake cable adjuster does, so i stripped a bit of the white plastic coating off, so that the metal brake husing and the cable could fit snugly inside the lever.
**Now this picture shows two metal adaptor bits which i don't have (bought the levers 2nd hand) and would have stopped me from doing the above cutting etc.
**I have a feeling this and redoing teh cables with ferrules on will solve the issue? -

^^^^ DedaTre RS Corsas, even better. You can buy them in Condor.
I think the Decathlon/Btwin ones are better, and also cheaper
Just wanted to post on the forum about something like this, this is great!
I had two, was never that impressed. I lent one to someone, then over Christmas my remaining one went a bit loose so the bottle started moving round. It looked fine, but it wasn't tight enough any more, despite being on the same notch. I tried to tighten it up and it snapped :(
The problem is that there are quite big gaps between the notches, they need to be adjustable to a finer degree.

It's not really that extreme now is it? After being fitted at Roberts and discussing the geometry this is what resulted. Keep in mind that probably wont be the final handlebar position and that I have pretty much all of my 6 ft 3 height in my legs and it doesn't seem that crazy.

It's not extreme or crazy, but with the bar height where it is now and the amount of seatpost showing, another cm or two on the height of the frame may have meant you could have had less of a stem angle and less seatpost.
It's a minor quibble, I still think it's a lovely looking frame.
