Yeah me too - but I happened to have the lions share of the Ultegra group already and I just went with what I had. At some point in the future I would like to give it a full on Athena 11 speed group overhaul - but for now I'm just enjoying riding it.

exactly the position I'm in with my basso. other thing is, all my other bikes are shimano, and there've been times when the ability to switch wheels at short notice has got me to work on time/ kept me on the road. im expecting comments about it not being campy.

Fuck it, its your bike. Practical is beautiful.
However, I wouldn't pair up the new DA or ultegra cranksets with an older frame- it just looks wrong. Try to get 6700 or 6600 on I maybe?
