  • Just heard back from the seller RE this thing.
Going to make for an interesting build! 700c front and rear as I expected, but 130mm rear spacing. Means I may do MTB disk hubs with a bolt on sprocket or something. Hmmm.... any other suggestions?

130 mm rear hub. i'm getting one for my new project too, which happens to have same rear spacing

  • ^for a bargain frame and 4th bike like jammy's, smart thing is to spend £40 for a pair of SJS hubs.

  • are they 130mm? where can i find?

  • word yal just finished my first build. let me know what yo think.

    fucking lovely!
    needs a white concor...

Did you buy that Mercian from the-smiling-buddha?

  • You're gettin a concept pista? To replace the plug racer?

    Cool.

Nah! i won't replace the Charge, it's a decent ride. I'm getting the Pista to use over at Wolves when it's built up.

  • indeed i did..though I suspect he may chastise me for the non-authentic nature of the build.

  • SJS

nice 1 that will save me a lot of money

    V-nice.

Also catboy, nice build dude. I would like to see that with some skinwall tires

    :o.

  • some sweet builds are happening right now...

  • cheers dude, the white tyres have gone a nice beige so might be doing that in the not too near future.

  • Finished my first build the weekend just gone, with the help of BLB and a few forum members :)

Got it for £36 quid on ebay just before xmas, when she looked like this:

    Now she looks like this:

Not quite finished, but as far as the funds allow it to go at the moment. (Sorry about the crappy yellowey phone picture).

  • ^ Again, very nice.

  • I'm a bit of a Raleigh fan, the Record & the Medale are looking good.

You realise how much of a bargain you got?

I know Lee cooper charges £70 for track ends, that plus paintjob mustve been a pretty penny.

    Looks superb though.
