  • ooof saddle/seatpost porn!!

  • Much lighter than I expected!

That is pretty much exactly what I was thinking Sumo, hah :(

What forks are you using? I need drilled ones

I went for columbus tusk, picked them up for about £60 new on ebay

  • does anyone have any experience with Microshift STI shifters? Are they any good?

  • It will work, road front dérailleurs are ore or less universally interchangeable and down tube levers aren't indexed for the front anyway.

    Thanks :)

  • So Dolan are selling Navigator Pista wheels for £105, which compared to what else you can get seems cheap.

I just saw Gizmonds post saying they are OK to use on the road/with a brake but just wanted to confirm?

  • Oh look, a Precursa. £80 delivered next day, very well done Dolan.

    • Just hope it doesn't look like one of flickwgs bikes

Eh??? 80 quid, on their website!!!???!? Tell meeee

  • project hood whip .2-just got to add the stem and bars from the old one

I want a retro Colnago MTB

  • size?

  • I want a retro Colnago MTB

It's great for getting about on when 3 sheets to the wind, you don't get stuck in tram rails like with 1 inch width wheels
The other one I have will be for sale soon )

  • ^^^Nice build that. To de-sticker or not de-sticker that is the question...

    ^DIBS! :P

  • They are Cannondale cranks- I've ordered them (175mm, 53/39), it's whether or not to go for steel or ceramic bearings that I am debating

still will be too heavy, no doubt rendering your bike totally unrideable

    Paha!

    That is all.

I'm going to take the one's off the tt on the black, (except Ernesto's sig)
I have only seen 3 of these in my 'bike hussling" exploits ,
I originaly built the DP 22's with black hubs and spokes, intending to change the colour on the first
The decals are pretty much irriplaceable, I've never seen any available-so it would be a fucker to take them off, then have second thoughts

so sorry 'bout pic size'I'm still pretty primitive re IT

  • It's been a while since my last post in "Current Projects" but recently after many many months of picking up an abandoned ladies Raleigh Cameo from a friend (the bag was heavy that day)

I've decided to get my hands dirty and build it up as a present for my Mother. She kept on nagging me about how much space it takes up in her garage so I couldn't take it any longer. Here is what it looked like when I got it.

After a trip to the resprays at the back of my garden with two cans of "Ford Red" from Wilco it was starting to look promising.

AAAAANNNNd off to east cooast customs

After literally days at the local bicycle shop wirebrushing all the old parts, finding a used 3-speed wheel, completely disassembling the Sturmey Archer, oiling it, putting it back together, wiping grease in my eyes, 10 cups of coffee, [strike]stealing[/strike] paying for new parts like a NOS white saddle, the Raleigh Cameo was reborn :)

£177.65 spent on restoration. Still looking to find a matching used front wheel, a bell from the era that works, and repainting the word "cameo" on the downtube.

  • aww bless

  • thats what i'm talking about right there! pick up old shit and turn it in to new shit. wonderful work.

  • Yep. Superb.

  • where'd ye get ye wicker basket?

    £££?

  • and all the haterz said that basket wasn't practical!

  • (the bag was heavy that day)

this is ridiculous, how far did you cycle with that load? And what wondrous bag is that?
