Yes it has, I haven't put it on yet - hopefully tonight. I'll give a quick trike update after that. Sadly there's still lots to do.

i have a flexible chainline at the back so no probs there but it's sram external BB system so very limited with movement, i think i can put 1 spacer in which i've done and it seems ok and i'll see what rings i have in my toolbox at home and hope they fit
and i can't use spacers as they are track cranks so spacers will just make the problem worse
You can space the cups out. There's plenty of thread on them. As long as the loose crank arm has enough axle showing to attach safely.
I have the opposite bodge on my 29er. I removed a standard spacer on the DS for better chainline. Any more and the loose crank arm would'nt apply pre-load to the bearings anymore. But I just get away with it.

The best string of posts I have seen in a long while... LOL.
Such a nice frame too!

I would have preferred to see a slightly more understated build. IMO coloured rims are for mtb's, bmx, and maybe crusers. White stems, are for modern road bikes.
The saddle is interesting, what is it?

even though they were popular in the past.

This is indeed what I am doing. As quite frankly, it's piffle.

one - my grandfather who used to race time trial with his 3 speed fixed hubs (it was his work and race bicycle), and two - in the 50's, time trial were the preferred choice of the british cyclists.
tilover, that bike look real awesome, seeing it's a time trial bicycle, you could put a 3 speed fixed hubs on it and put the bar end shifter on the downtube.

So your analysis is based on the one 1950s tester you know, rather than the thousands who didn't use muti-speed fixed hubs? Just checking.
If Sturmey's fixed hubs had actually been popular, there would be loads on the second hand market. There aren't.

That doesn't really explain anything. Other than your Grandfather rode 3 speed fixed.
The ASC was actually dropped by Sturmey in 1956. That's how popular they were in the 50's.
Harold, has that crank found its way to you yet?
