The pursuit bike is losing the stickers and risers and going for a more classic look...
been looking for that kind of stem for fucking age!

gus and ed, you have missed a few on ebay in the past few weeks.
look harder

Don't they still make the Ergo stem?

An OS ahead one is still produced I believe. I've got a quill one like that I was gonna put on the 'bay and some old cinelli tempo bars if anyone's interested.

There's an ahead version available in black and I believe....bright yellow!
Quill versions aren't made anymore. There's some available from a US ebayer who's charging shitloadss! (£115+ before shipping).
Got mine from ebay.de £26 inc postage! ;)I'm hoping the 26.0 stem will go easy on the 26.4 bars.
Just need some nice long black track grips.
Strong G's or V's should work well... -

just got this, might be a bit small for me but having ridden bmxs i'm sure this won't be much of a problem. I'm thinking matt black spray with white or gold highlights then chrome and silver for the rest of the parts. Anyone have any nice ideas for what i could do?

Leave it as it is, looks nice

i want to see fred's bike!
it looked dope.almost there. Still waiting on pedals, and I've had to make do on the rear hub until I can afford what I really want (a green anodised phil). Plus I need to stretch the chain in, the rear hub is hanging on to the dropouts for dear life. There's some pics on my blog / flickr..

I think light blue* with a touch of black and gold paint in places will make it sparkle beautifully.
*even thought im not a fan of blue, i think a cool colour will look fantastic against that shiny "cool" chrome.
make sure you get all those "nobs" and cable attachments sawed off and polished

@ BMX Fred, you cannot repaint that frame! It's an absolute beaut.
-
• #4592
haha nothing really, but i guess it's a project until it's built up. I'm not really a fan of the colour though so I think the frame's going black before it's built up. Pretty excited to be riding something other than my lo-pro. I need to find bottom bracket and headset too.

for fucks sake. my frame was metallic purple when i got it and i convinced myself to powdercoat it white. fail.
that paint is incredible! sounds like you're building from scratch so you could easily make it work! for the love of god don't repaint!
EDIT: what size is it? would you sell it?
-
• #4596
nah i'm putting parts from my lo-pro on it, i'm thinking kinda stealth look but if i kept the colour i could go with something like shinscar's
but matt black with higlights would look swish...

BMX_Fred- Don't paint the frame! Save the money and put it towards parts.
Looks like a Hillary Stone picture to me. Is it? -

DON'T CHANGE THE PAINTJOB! if you were to do the same paintjob again it would cost a lots of money.
keep it, it look like some classic NOS bike once you build it up.

yeah it is, i'm sure he/she paid less than i did but i don't think £100 was too bad-a-deal.
i'm thinking i shouldn't have asked about the paint job now haha... -

don't be a pussy - get the paint brush out - slap it on
it'll look 'stealthy'
ARGHHH!
