cheersUTFS and you'll find threads like this.
Also worth searching for the list of UK frame builders (it's somewhere here). Then you know who to talk to.
Also worth remembering there isn't really any advantage to track ends over forward facing dropouts.

they are vertical dropouts
thanks -

Ok. Maybe have a look into the White Industries Eno hub. That way you leave the frame original.

Just been putting the finishing touches to my Casati, readying it for a season at Herne Hill.
New saddle, seat post, bars and stem for this year.

Beautiful frame! Not too sure about the bars though...
They look rather shitty on this angle, I must say. Looks much better irl.
Thanks, Peter. :) It's gonna be hard to hand it over.. -

Want to strip and polish mine for me? I'll pay you in crisps and beer...
Never ever again... not even if you paid me in ketamine and Victoria Pendleton's used underwear.

Very good job! It looks really good. The rear wheel shot with the seat tube is nice! Could look ultra cool as a stealth bike. I bet its great fun to ride!
-
• #44393
cheers, yeah I think I will end up changing the front wheel, going a bit stealth. And its one hell of ride, lovely and smooth :)

This is heading my way.
All SLX, all Campag, and all in amazing condition. I won't make any drastic changes to begin with, maybe replace the bar tape, tyres, and cable-outers with black ones. That's only cosmetic though. Might look out for a pair of Shamals/Ventos/Zondas for it at some point in the future, as a 'Sunday best' wheelset!Check out the chrome-paint fade:

Stunner. Love the forks. I think a silver stem would suit it nicely.

• #44399

thanks Ed! I was trying to keep it as Japanese as possible hence the spec - except for the Simplex shifters as they are possibly the best in the biz and the Brooks, no comment. of course a TA crankset is a randonneur classic but I really like the 39-15/17 gearing with a straight chainline.
