  • Are the forks original? I would prefer straighter ones but looks pretty good so far

    Yeah, orginals.
Too nice to swap too: panto'd and triangular shape at the top.

  • andyp, the Casati rocks. do you ride it on the street, or velodrome?

  • Thanks. It's purely used at the track, as was intended.

  • tubulars? look "fat" enough to be clinchers =))

  • midlife crisis bike completed with stupid deep wheelset

    Tidy bike = Messy house.

  • The Casati is hot!

    You changed the saddle?

    The Cervelo is smoking!

  • tubulars? look "fat" enough to be clinchers =))

Herne Hill velodrome has a concrete surface that would be perfect, in case the stupid french orginizers would consider an overseas finish location for their Paris Roubaix race.

  • Wow, Current Projects > Bike Porn at the moment.

The Jackson is a bit nice but I have ridden my old Peugeot frame into the ground, and hopefully this will last for years (with the necessary addition of mudguards). The CK is a little bit of an indulgence, admittedly, but again, it should outlast the frame.

  • Is it just a vigorelli? straight from Leeds to you? I'm waiting for one in my size to come up 2nd hand... can't really spring for £460. They ride really nice, if you haven't already ridden one.

  • Yes, it's a standard Vigorelli, ordered directly. The mudguard eyelets and deleting the decals were no extra cost - only the headtube colour was a cost option, and not much at that.

What size are you? I have a friend who I think might be looking to sell his (black, 54cm IIRC).

    Tubulars, Deda Tre Olimpico.

    You changed the saddle?

Thanks, Dwayne. Yes, a new saddle. Have gone for black saddle and bar tape, as having white was impractical when storing the bike.

Had my toptube decals left off. Just dusted if off after winter roller duties.

  • Thanks for the thought but think I'd need a 58 ctc...

    enjoy it!

  • I agree. More pertinently though, I would be very surprised if you can find Delta Crusiers in 700 x 23, as they don't make them in that size, what with them being a cruiser tyre and all.

    Have you considered gumwalls?

Yeah, I think I'm going to go with gumwalls... Don't know what came over me. I like white/cream tyres in general and part of me was trying to force it to work!

Really don't want it looking hipster tbh so I'm going to aim for as many traditional/older good condition/NOS bits as possible!

  • Vento's (road conversion jobbies), chainring, white brake cables, levers and tires underway.
Still looking for some pedals and might go with a bit shorter stem.

Beautiful frame! Not too sure about the bars though...

  • The bar on the coppi is a perfect match, they were designed for road bike in the first place.

  • Progress on the nasty/nostalgic mid 90s mtb.
4 solid days, 2 tins of nitromors, 3 rolls of wire wool, 8 sheets of wet & dry, 2 wire brushes, 2 tubes of autosol, countless rags, 10 bleeding fingers, and we have BLING!

filed out some of the welds around the GT badge and bridge.

  • ^That's nice

  • Want to strip and polish mine for me? I'll pay you in crisps and beer...

  • björn, andyp & adoubletap, regal, sherms, vuti & wharry - love your work guys, this is a turning out a nice page!

ed - there's many sorts of roadgoing bikes ;-) I'd also expect a drop on the Cop'. It's looking great though

Worked on the Toei a bit today, fitting honjos is not a 5 minute job I found out

still have to tweak a little here and there, but almost done and happy with the result

  • That Toei is perfect, it's a work of art.

I'd think a TA Specialite crankset would complete it (and they're pretty light).

The Cinelli Priest bar were designed for road bicycle as originally the pope were given a Colnago, but he did not like the drop handlebar that came with it, so the Cinelli Priest/Pope/Valenica was born.

  • He was really after some risers and oury grips but was afraid to ask.

  • Andy, I'm in love with your Casati.
