That really is very nice, mind if i ask where you had the restoration done and how many pennies it set you back?

The paint job was done in edinburgh (i'm in glasgow) so i doubt it's of much use. It cost me 12000 pennies for white, then masking and blue, then decals and lacquer. They've done a good job, but it did take ALOT longer than they said it would.

If you must use SPD-SL, although Keo2max Carbon would match the colour scheme even better

Finally got round to at least making a token effort on building up the Roberts. First geared build and Campag Syncro I shifters, which will make it interesting. Need to swap the calipers over for a set of Chorus monoplaners I've got and find a Chorus wheelset too. Undecided about the saddle.

Just built up my new bike with all the old parts from my Surly. Need to swap a few things about before im totally happy with it though. But first impressions are good.

They are on one mary bars. Pretty nice for generally cruising about on.

I've been riding with on-one fleegle bars for a week now.

Less sweep than Mary's but more than any risers I could find. I love 'em. I've set them up short and low, which is not their intended use at all. They works a treat.

Managed to rip my Cinelli bar tape when putting it on today, and now there is a sellotaped gap. Second time that's happened. Might try some Fizik tape next time.

fizik tape is goooood. its all a bit hipster but i really like the mash bartape, i think i might get some for the new build.

I'd put plain tape or grips on it to start with. That bike is gonna be very nice!

but in all seriousness it will be either half-taped fizik or champ grips, both black.
