LOL I feel ridiculous...with all the cool and $$$ projects you are posting my stuff looks so dumb ! Anyway I wanted to share. I definetely abandoned the 'bianchi' colours. Colours are chosen...I hope you won't write anything that makes me change my mind eheh!! Bike will be for my girlfriend mostly...if it turns up nice enough. I am going to start tomorrow with the nitromors and then going with the primer....then colours and then....I just need to buy the pieces I need to complete the bike ahah. Hardest part is the frame paint...the rest is just $$$ (or £££ or €€€) and one afternoon in the garage mounting everything.

What handlebars did you use Tom- FSA compacts of some kind?

FSA Wing Pros*. I was going to go all out super-bling and get some FSA plasmas, but with the Deda Servizio Corse stem this way works out about 10 (claimed) grams heavier, 400 quid cheaper and still lovely and stiff. In theory. Because I haven't ridden it, I can't comment.
*I initially hated the way they looked, but Scherrit put some on my road bike and after probably >1000 miles now, I'm rather happy with the way they work. So continuing the theme.

i think you misunderstood this thread/foum a bit (if i may say so). this place is not about $$$ or £££ or €€€. it's about not giving in to the stupid trends of today only, but keeping up with tradition and legacy (?) that you have or may lay your hands on.
the second option of repaint is fine. but still, you seem to have a lovely bike to start with, just put some better quality / SS parts on it, or fix / overhaul existing ones - and it's ready to go.
on the other hand i understand GF can set certain rules and standards of the way her bike should look like, and there's nothing you could / should do about it - at least right now. go with her way this time, and educate her later =))
oof, my 2p look a bit like $20 right now - sorry for that -

MASSIVE monkey wrench/ adjustable spanner and carefully.
And get a full refund from the person who sent it you.
And potentially find a framebuilder to re-braze a new one on.
Thats the worst misalignment I've seen.... -
• #43685
so you're saying dont' heat up?
-
• #43686
I've not heated any that I've realigned.
Works fine usually, but usually both top and bottom of the dropout/track end are out of kilter.
I've also realigned a derailleur hanger or two with that method.Seriously though- number 1 thing is get a refund from the person who sent it.

Good but I don't like the saddle. I also note spare Zipp leaning against wall, slightly excessive?
