Can you use the cheaper Shimano chains with DA or do you need to use the ones quoting DA in the name?
As long as the chains are designed for the same # of sprockets, it's all fine.
Meaning: Tiagra / 105 10 speed will be fine for D/A 10 speed.
However, tensile strength, finish, appearance, durability may be a bit different. So are prices.
Best cost/performance chain for Shmn 10 speed is newest 105.From years ago I remember that the only differences between HG90 series and Dura Ace were the logo's and the prices.
Nowadays it may be different, but not that much. -

nice! one of these but more origanal just came into action 21 where i work
this one came as original but I found the bars horrible, the saddle weighed a ton and the brakes/ levers were shite so I made it more comfortable for me and still have the OG bits in a box in the garage if I want to sell later.
I am looking forward to a proper cruise around to see what all the fuss is about with little wheeled full sus bikes.

My Concorde Squadra. Not technically a project as its been built nearly a year and done hundreds of miles since, but I just gave it a BB overhaul, changed crank length and epic failed to overhaul the right hand ergopower (retaining bolt absolutely seized solid)... but still shifts fine... just about ready for Tour of Flanders next saturday now :-) -

Thanks chaps. Stem is an old Kalloy number. Bars are some by Modolo, called "Race Anatomic Shape Tech". I've had them years and they are a little fugly but very comfy esp in the drops.

Modern performance? Where?
Well I think the groupset's from around '98 (9sp Campag) which makes it about 5 years later than the frame (I think). So not that modern - but does perform nicely.

Like the race number clip. Gives it a nice touch of purpose.

Planning to make a set of Alu combi quill stem/ TT bars for my Fort. Want to make the cockpit as alu blades with armrest built into the blades. Have to see how I get on with them but seems like a good enough solution to the pain in the hole of trying to get TT bars to fit a quill stem.
Tester gonna test?
Edit: Obviously the angles are a bit shite there but you get the idea.

Bob in his spring/summer dress, flipped and chopped the fuji track bars. still waiting for the hipster tire to die. I am refusing to buy a new tire until this one goes but I don't skid.

Just built this up for a friend.
He bought the bits, Colnago Costa did all the masking and decals, Mario Vaz did the spraying, I did the spannering.
