singlespeeded and rigidified. it's so much fun.
Firstly - really nice!
Secondly - Hows the bar/ stem combo treating you. I'm looking at exactly the same combo for my rigid 29r build (also with rigid carbon forks) -

just picked up some extreme carbon bling wheels for the track. Worth about the same as the rest of my bike combined!
Hhtb ftw

i dont know an aweful lot about them but the road wheels are supposed to be the mutts nuts and they are made by HED so im pretty sure they are up to the task.
the guy who sold them to me bought them in september and has barely used them, apart from a few quick spins round the block!I've read good reviews of these. Specifically the Powertap ones..

The stem, well, it's just a stem, a very nicely machined one at that. Carbon forks are wicked, who needs suspension!

Bought this for my second fixed gear project.
Frame and forks only.
Have bought bars, cranks and the saddle's coming.
Cinelli, Campagnolo and Brooks. Was wanting to build it up with vintage Italy parts, but seen a Brooks Colt saddle and couldn't resist.Needing stem, seatpost and pedals. I missed some lovely vintage Campagnolo pedals with Campy straps and cages on ebay last night. Oh well. If anyone has an Itallian make stem, 100mm or less and want to sell, please let me know. Loving the build, but just wanting to ride. Thankfully, I still have my other fist project to ride in the mean time.

Currently waiting on my '89 King of Mercia frame to arrive from the guy I'm buying it off as my next conversion... trying to source appropriate kit to stick on it now!

i like them, not had a chance to look at them on the bike, i suspect they would look better with less stickers but i think that might affect the resale value so i will wait to see if i really like them before i start playing about with them.
i put the front one in for my 10mile commute this morning, makes an awesome sound and feels fast.
will get the rear sorted out at the weekend and chuck it on and take some proper pictures with drops etc, as its got a freewheel on one side (anyonr looking for a cheap 16t shimano freewheel?) and a 16t on the other.

Where did you get them from?

freewheel on a track wheelset? looking forward to seeing that built up.
they're tubs right....on a 10 mile commute :s
-
• #4244
yeah not something i'll do again, but couldnt resist it.
and theey're conti gatorskin tubs so they should be fairly safe...
yeah no idea why the freewheel, the guy i bought them off had bought a langster monaco, specialized barmac carbon and lots of other carbon bits and pieces in september and had been doing about a 10 mile loop on them on saturdays and sundays since then
has obviously decided its not for him.

Crazy, you can buy a Shimano 6 speed freewheel cheaper than a single freewheel.

Supply and demand. Who runs 6spd these days vs. how many ppl using singlespeeds.
