I'm fine. Track standing at the lights, went to power away and ripped the bars from the bike. Carbon steerer tube fail

Look at the sheer reach between the stem and the brake levers!
that's normal Ed.
(well for people with good lower back flexibility and a desire to go reasonably fast and in comfort on a road bike) -

The new Omnium has an alloy steerer, I suspect the carbon ones may have had a habit of failing

long wait but new frame finally arrived yesterday, its a leader 722ts with a tifosi carbon fork. i heard nothing but bad stuff about leader and had no intention of getting one until max at TFG talked it up and recommended it over frames costing £200 more!
i built it up this morning with all the components from my old frame, now a dutchy baskety affair (#41914) kind of wish the arione was all black but wont lose any sleep over it as its still an awesome saddle.
in need of some new tires and front wheel but that will have to wait.
also not sure the rake on the front fork suits the frame that much, it felt ok on the maiden voyage but just looks a bit loose... -

Been building up a pompino over the past month or so from new and old bits. I wanteded an all purpose commuter/shopper/daily ride. Finished the last few bits this morning , only thing left to do is replace pedals.
Took advantage of the weather this morning and went for a nice long ride, really impressed although gearing might be a touch high. For info the carradice is fully loaded in these pics with some weighty things - two bottles of wine, roasting joint, d-lock. The bagman support seems to deal with it just fine and keeps the bag well away from my legs which was a worry.

@ senor bear and kuba
Where you guys picking up the Truvativ Omnium Chainsets from? I haven't lost the ability to search, but seriously considering them and wondering if i'm overlooking an option or two. Definitely gots to be the Black ones. Cheers in advance.
