Nowhere fast, I assumed you have the necessity tools at the workshop you're at, so grab a tesco basket, a couple piece of long metal, do some drilling and cutting and bob your uncle.
eddie - be very careful with basket + track fork, the bike handle pretty difficult with too much weight on it.

i've always wondered how a sprung brooks would look on a track bike.

This makes me a little sad. I know baskets look good on certain style of (porteur) Bike but on this Nag, to me it just looks ridiculous.
Why don't you spray it black, whack some fat cream schwalbe's on it, fenders, lamps, brakes, freewheel, chainguard then you might be able to justify the basket.Or remove the basket and accept that this is how this weapon of a bike should roll....

latest project.
So the frame and forks have not been drilled for brakes, will have to man up and start riding track (fortunately there's a one 2 minutes away form me in welwyn). Having not owned an alu/carbon bike before, i'm blown away by how light it is, on the bathroom scales it says 2.5kg.
If anybody can tell me anything about the frame, I'd be happy to hear, my guess is it's a pinarello prince pista. I'm also trying to work out the seat tube diameter, it does have a clamp which says 35.2-35.6 (http://bike.com/miche-seat-posts?Av=53205)Thought it may be worth mentioning if it's possible to work out internal diameter from the external.
my mid 80s bob jackson 531 double butted tubing weights about 3k WITH bottom bracket and headset included... sorry to piss on your chips

That bike looks way better now than it did before. It looks like it's used for a purpose now rather than some wolly riding a track bike to and from work

The combination of Wald baskets and locks does mean that anyone within 500 yards of you knows you're approaching too...

1+ Senor Bear, least it's actually rideable.

• #41246
I feel like the fad for front racks isn't bourne out by 'for a purpose'. I never see anyone actually carrying anything much on theirs ... myself included.

I think the Nag-as-beater is a bit of a joke actually. Like you said, the forks will be shite with a load. As will trying to brake with your legs/tyre if the basket is loaded up. Which begs the question: will it ever be loaded?

Glad to see I'm not the only one with a rear brake only on a track bike! Good man!

Exactly, it's still a brakeless track bike, only now it's a brakeless track bike with a basket on it that doesn't handle very well when you put stuff in the basket.
Anyway, don't want to diss it, I still like it. The new wheels are very nice.

sticking a simple coaster brake will make it a lots easier to ride with a load on the front rack.
must point out that the WALD basket isn't terribly stable after a moderate load so I doubt eddie will fill it up with his weekly shopping in it.
You'd probably say leave the Unicanitor on it anyway ;) I'll get a pic when my seatpost is sorted.
