Nearly finished this so I thought I would post up some more shots.
Clamont pursuit with triple triangle rear. Columbus tubing, designed for a 24" front I believe but fits a 650 fine.
Nearly complete Suntour Superbe group set bar the front wheel and seat post, still looking for a 27.0 if any one has one and some nice bull horns?
Its been a fun build collecting all the parts but I think it will be a short lived ride, too big for me so I'll probably post it for sale in a month or so.

Thats my local bike shop back home^. Nice build.
I just bought one of there frames for a new project.
You obviously dont know Dave Marsh aka Universal Cycle Centre and his bad taste paint jobs back in the day. They where the flavour back then.
Only just spotted this. Cheers JD, I know you mentioned it when we last met. I've only seen a few Dave Marshs, and mine has the most tame paintjob. He was a big fan of the stenciled grid and fade. Reminds me, I must call him for some decals, thinking about getting a respray, the paint is a bit tatty now in places. Lovely forks and wishbone stay on yours by the way.

That Clamont has to be a 650 front not a 24. I guess the cages on those pedals are already scraping the ground when you wheel it about.

however you wish to build it up as.
do you want the deepest of vee? or the skinny light rims? ultimate comfort in handlebar or hand-destroying one? normal cranks or classic looking one? etc.

What bartape you running? Been unhappy with many I've bought, but from what I can see (not much) looks pretty grippy (thats what I'm after).

Trad with nice components, but a bit blingy also.

i think the dark blue one.
id personally go for silver components and brown or honey saddle and bartape. pretty safe bet matching colours to the celeste looks pretty tricky.

dark blue - was thinking the same Eamesy - silver and brown saddle and bartape yes yes - maybe some deep section rims and nice hubs, blingy wheelset?

i don't know why but i really like the mix of a classic frames and components with a modern wheelset.

Looks like any-old cloth bar tape. You can also use hockey tape. I've never used it purely as grip tape, but by all accounts it gives blisters, is thin, and generally uncomfortable. If you wear gloves then (which I guess you don't), I'm sure it'll be fine.
IME (which is limited):
#1 tape = Fizik suede with the gel inserts or an old innertube underneath. However, in total it is relatively expensive.
#2 Mavic Guido. Very good allrounder, and probably the best standard cheap tape you can get. Search on here for the thread.
Grips - I found v-strong good. Thin, but comfy, very grippy, still plenty of hipster points (despite probably being played out now).

£25 for this, not bad aye? all built part by part from stuff laying around or in parts draws
still not done but its riding quite nicely, i cant decide between gears with a chain stay tensioner or put a bmx freewheel on there with a normal tensioner

Look like a fun little bike.
put on some fat tyres like the schwalbe fat frank (or big apple) tyres, 2.35 thick.

yeah definitely go for fatter tires, think ill get some Continental Mountain King's, come in 2.2 or 2.4, few others in mind but conti's are at the top of the list
really is a fun bike, i haven't rode a bike like this in a long time, such low gears are a nice change, was popping some wheelies on the way home, well trying to relearn them haha
edit: those fat franks are mtb slicks-ish, this isnt for the road, i need knobbles

Bike is mint, definitely one of my favourites.
Well, the clue is in the name. I could not recommend them more for track sprinting.
