I like it, needs a better cat though.

You bought Les the lo-pro! what up with the bar position?
I did indeed...well, with the extended st, the drop is so big that I can't really reach the ends of the bars, and I just like the look of them that way. Still tweaking things around tbh. Love the way it rides though.

Just needs a groupset now. Probably going to get a Rotor 3D crankset first, as it looks like I can get one in 165mm. Cant decide wether to get the lighter, cheaper standard Q-rings, or the stiffer, more blingy aero rings. Either way it'll be 50/36, to suit this darn lumpy country.

Yeah, i've heard Red cats are faster, but hard to find. This one matches the frame and forks though...

Yeah, but these black and white retro cats add to the hipster look. You need one of those naked ass cats with no fur if you're a weightweenie though.
Decisions, decisions.

Why 165 sf?
I know you're a short arse like me but Shirley 170 gives you more leverage?
-
• #39308
nice.
is it slop dropout? how do you tension chain and keep disk centered in caliper?the for aft movement is mostly inconsequential with regard to the caliper.

that BMC is the first i've liked, and i like it a lot

I bet you won't feel the difference if I told you that the 170 crank you've been riding on is actually 165.

stupidly awesome, any idea on the paint? part of me somewhat wish it be raw;

@ mr walrus - how high is the top top tube? looks mega.

Love the Walrus Continental, nice workshop also!

Top of top top-tube is 90cm. I've finally got a bike big enough to not need yards of seatpost.
Ed, still not quite decided on the paint work. All the lugs arew stainless, including the rack ones, so I'll almost certainly just polish those. I think a cream head-tube and decals panels on seat and down-tubes, and either a dark blue or deep red for the rest? I did fancy green, but not so sure now.

I can push a higher cadense with a shorter crank (ideal size 162.5mm according to science), without loosing so much form*. This should make longer climbs easier. I ride 175 SS off-road, so like a bit of leverage on the right bike.
This bike is all about fit though.
(* to be fair to Ed, I'm comparing wildly different bikes here, so he may be right. Fecked if I'm going to spend four figures, on a bike with ill fitting components though)

s.walrus, have a look through M.A.P. cycle's bicycle, they have quite a range of colour to give you an idea if it help;

Walrus Continental:
stunning.
do paint it. The shimano 600 groupset deserves a frame with matching exquisite decoration.
definitely catches your eye...

What bar tape is that?
-
• #39321
Just chain, replacement headset, steerer trim and brake bleed left to do:
Nice. If it were mine i would take the decals off the forks and wheelset, what with the frame looking so smooth.
have you ridden those tyres on another bike? any good? may get some for racing this summer, ride holy rollers at the moment.

What's going on with the hood placement? Shirley that's not comfortable. Mindfuck.

Look at the saddle angle.
cuff match the collar.
-

Ha!
Bar has internal routing, so fixed hood positions. Saddle not as comfortable as Concor (less angle), so had to tip it slightly.
