Sure does. Thanks
I have it on my Hetchins, the most comfortable tape I ever did touch.
-
• #39328
Tape is Fizik.
-
• #39329
ah.. have that also, prefer the eleganza. think the fizik may be harder wearing though.

Picked this up yesterday, mentioned earlier Hillsborough, N.irish made frame, Mid 1950's. Sadly can't salvage the original paintwork, but have new decals for it.
-
• #39338
Nice. If it were mine i would take the decals off the forks and wheelset, what with the frame looking so smooth.
have you ridden those tyres on another bike? any good? may get some for racing this summer, ride holy rollers at the moment.
Not yet, no. I used to have some Holy Rollers on a 24" wheeled bike I had a while back, and just wanted to try something different. The Micro Knobbys are on sale at CRC at the moment so I figured I'd give them a go.

My getter is coming along. Still want some marathon plus tires, mudguards and dynamo lights (I've got the hub). Maybe a better rack/basket too.
Rocking the 2 speed kick-back coaster brake sturmey archer hub - it's ace! Clean looks, freewheel, 2 speeds, brake. Done. -

jammy if your selling the basket let me know, might have it for the gf's bike.

Been building the wheels for the Feather today.
36H CXP33 on Dura-Ace 7710, with DT Revolution spokes. It's the first time I've used these spokes and they are thiiiiin in the middle (2.0 / 1.5 / 2.0), and combined with the super snug fit in the hub flange holes the lacing was a bit more work than usual. No problems tensioning it though, I thought they were going to twist really badly but they stayed at about a quarter turn of twist/untwist all the way up to 130kgf.
Nearly there...

As a a matter of interest, with what did you lubricate the spoke threads?

Low flange dura ace are hot. I'd love some 28h ones laced to deep section carbon rims.

Ordinata, please, for the love of fuck, sort out your bars/levers !!
And get yourself the correct saddle, the angle of that Turbo is seriously offensive.
I only come at you like this because with those things changed, it would be a seriously nice bike. Great work (nearly).

TF2, just general purpose bike oil. I've heard motor oil recommended but I've never gone out of my way to buy some (since I don't own a car).
I did make sure to be thorough with swabbing the rim eyelets but I didn't really do anything I don't normally do.

• #39346
What's going on with the hood placement? Shirley that's not comfortable. Mindfuck.
Apart from this Ordi, that is bloody lovely.
Solve those hoods/seat angle tho, please. -
• #39347
Non-drive side fail. Changed bars, stem, saddle, pedals and wheels.
-
• #39348
Rob, is that saddle angle for real? Nice pedals
-
• #39349
don't remember it being so when I last saw it....
extraordinarily nice in the flesh. -
• #39350
Nope just put it on there a second ago, perspective of the photo makes it seem worse than it is as well. Pedals are great btw.
Maybe time for some new bars then.
