What kind of problems? What kind of chain tensioner?
Do you mean chain tugs or the kind of tensioner that is in a rear mech?
What kind of rear dropouts?
BTW, this may be a topic for the "mechanics" corner.just a cheap one off of ebay
vertical dropouts
i must be doing something wrong/don't know how toy use it
because i cant get the chain tight -

something that's a problem that last for two weeks a year?
you're taking it out of context. Jersey was talking about riding around in snow/slush/ice. Like we had a little while ago.

Just chain, replacement headset, steerer trim and brake bleed left to do:

please remind me why do you need two brakes on this?..

nice.
is it slop dropout? how do you tension chain and keep disk centered in caliper? -

That looks like the most fun I've ever seen!

I figured it would be easier to bleed them both when they are on the bike. Will most likely take the front one off afterwards.
nice.

That looks like the most fun I've ever seen!
That's the idea :)

is it slop dropout? how do you tension chain and keep disk centered in caliper? When the calliper is placed at the top of the disc, how much is the influence on contact area if you move the wheel +/- 5mm ?
If the calliper is positioned well, do you really need a movable calliper mount?@ Scorch: maybe no need to have 2 brakes, but some people just prefer that.
I can imagine, especially with a f/s fork with travel like this one.
And if one brake would be enough powerwise, why such a big disc radius? He seems to want plenty of brake power. 2 callipers make sense. -

90% of the parts are second-hand, including the brakes which I bought as a pair with the 180 / 200mm rotors, and they need to be bled, so I'll do that and try it with both and then try with just the rear.

Somewhere I showed the maths for this*, and you're right. You have to move the wheel a long way before it becomes an issue.

Newish stem and new saddle for my Lemond
-
• #39290
@Dutch Cheese - two brakes generally make sense with off-road / possible slight DH usage. with slick tires it only will see street usage, where 1 brake is plentey! =)) but owner just explained everything himself =))
Tyres are Intense Micro Knobbys, but yeah.

Been messing around with a frame I picked up on here recently, going to see how it handle when built up (with different front wheel + brake, aswell as the obvious missing bits...) bit anti too I reckon...

To do list = bigger chainring, and slam the rear wheel.
Please no comments about saddle angle (or indeed my locking - it's a safe [enough] spot).

What's up with the saddle angle? You should lock it up better!
