  • Nice Hubs!!! Where?? How much??

off a mate who got them on ebay. Rare as rocking horse shit now, really light and nice and smooth

  • Just purchased courtesy of Snoops, going on the Fantom when it's finished, Pesenti Carbon :D

    With free levitation device?

  • Oh yeah, superlight!!

  • If I could get the chain to stay on for more than a mile I'd be happy.

Is your chainline ok? Your chain should stay put if so. Be careful if your chain is coming off, it can jam your wheel if it falls the wrong side.

  • so far for the bike I'm building for my girlfriend, brooks B67 honey saddle, Fast Boy Cycles mudguard (front and rear), 105 threaded headset (only a tenner), short stem, chain, and brooks honey leather bar tapes;

still getting more bits, as of tomorrow I'm picking up the frame that now have track end welded by SuperTed and send it off straight to Armourtex to get it respray in a pastel green with glitter (cheaper, look better and nicer than metallic).

  • Neat !

  • I have to says his welding is top notch and not expensiive at all, all that left is to get it sandblasted and powercoated.

  • that's why they call him Super Ted

And they burn? :) the Haydock is really nice :)

  • looks fast though dunnit - I'd ave to race it - even though I don't really race no more - might come out of retirement for that one though

Actually i'd admit it's a bit silly using a disc on a bike not used for racing.
I am going to have a set of spoked clincher-wheels for this bike as well.. :)

  • Is it not super windy in Denmark?
Would make running discs in traffic a bit sketchy

    Love those Planet-X stealths though.
(the TT version was very tempting during the C18 sale).

Yeah agreed, I got a disc for mine too but it was really cheap and just for a laugh really, the spoked clinchers will be going on for anything longer than a jaunt to the pub

  • @doctor chan, those alcorn hubs are nice

It's not too bad during summertime... which is when I was planning to use this bike :)

  • I would have like white hoods, but decided to run Campag brakes, so needed levers with the quick release built into the hoods, which gave me the option of ergo shifters (£££), or boring black Condor-branded Tektro levers. Thanks for the offer though.

I use my quick release to lock the brake on when the bike's lent up in my hallway. I wound the adjuster right out on the calliper before I set it up so if I need to get the wheel out I can just wind that back in instead. Gives me enough clearance. Don't know if that would work for you?

    +1
Skeleton Chorus brake + tektro TT lever = no quick release

(Think it depends on what tire width your running)

Damn. I always thought that it was because of this...

  • not my "project" just some wheels I've built for the 3rd most famous exenger in London.
why the fuck he went for pink I have no idea.

they are Chosen hubs, the shells are of the forumula/whatever variety, but they look really well made and have decent bearing caps innit.

  • each to their own man........

    which man do you own?

That is a very nice bit of welding

  • Finally built up my Mercian frame. Spent 4 months telling people it was nearly ready until last week when I finally pulled myself together and got it on the road.
Really was worth the wait though as it's such a great ride.
All I really want to do to it now is possibly put a smaller stem on it and change the bars to drops or risers. But it's really comfortable so I might just leave it. Not sure.

Sorry about the poor quality phone camera photo.
