That's very nicely done m a r i e. I'm glad you kept it, I hope you are too.
Yes and no, it has emotional baggage now, and I'm having some teething problems with the set-up, so I'm not overly fond of it at the moment, but giving it a chance. If I haven't learned to love it by my birthday it will be for sale again though, no regrets this time.
that's really nice, I think I have some white brake levers lying about if you fancy it to compliment the bar tape more?, let me try and find it.
I would have like white hoods, but decided to run Campag brakes, so needed levers with the quick release built into the hoods, which gave me the option of ergo shifters (£££), or boring black Condor-branded Tektro levers. Thanks for the offer though.
That frame, if it's 631 like mine... with those wheels... should float over London's potholes. They so smooth.
Yep, 631. If I could get the chain to stay on for more than a mile I'd be happy. Smooth is a bonus to it actually working at the moment!

Status of my space-age commuting-bike project..
That gold KMC-chain makes a lot of noise it seems... the noise transfers into the disc.. don't think I'll need a bell to make people in front of me know that I'm there.
(Yes, I know that basement is full of ugly 70's shit... it's my moms - the disc-wheel is 80's shit and that's mine)
that is the most ridiculous 'commuter' bike i have ever seen.
if you pulled up next to me at the lights, i wouldn't be able to stop laughing. -

i think object has written a book on the proper use of smiley type things.I like smileys. :)
I like to use them so people know I'm smiling when I type something.
Since these threads are often a bit like a running conversation they can help get the true meaning of a comment across. It's ok, I've put the rabid baboons back on their leashes now. -
