If it's scratched it's probably unsafe to ride. I'll take it off your hands.
/really old but irresistable joke

Nice
Not feeling the odd looking black paint on the dropouts/stays though, other than that....
Defo looks better with the OG forks too

i reckon the black bar/stem etc may set off the dropouts nicely.
def prefer the pink fork like.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with this problem, it's driven me near insane! I tried using spacer but had nothing that quite fitted... I'm trying to find a replacement axle, not feeling a cartridge bb...
Just be careful it doesn't throw your chain line out to far. Did something similar when building my mates bike and we had to respace the back axle and redish the wheel. Okay on a conversion (although not if you want to flip your wheel at any time) but might be an issue on a track frame? I know they're spendy but you might be better to get some pistas?

Restoration time, the almost dayglo red is lovely (colour exactly as pictured), pretty light with double butted 531;
Cheap Pompino for I and my dad, especially my dad who need something like this to train on than his geared audax bike.
54.5cm top tube fit like a dream, so nice to able to ride with a normal sized stem (110mm).

A Lo-pro for day to day riding? Do you hate your back that much??
Poyner(?) pursuit bike nearly up anad running. Before anyone says anything, it's not supposed to be period-correct, it's supposed to be a nice bike for day-to-day riding.

anymore pics of the first vintage frame?
5 speeds (or 3spd internal gears I don't know) British Lightweight, with mount only for mudguard, and an attachment for a front light.
I didn't think 50's frame have a two stop guide for the rear brakes, learn something new everyday.

funny clash of styles with the quite modern logo and then curly lugs and very old school shop stickers.
looks nice though.
I hate those old light fittings on forks, I cut mine off my old raleigh and filed it smooth.
I have an offer of two 50's 531 racing frames built in NI at the minute, gonna try and get the folder sold and then put that towards one of them.

A Lo-pro for day to day riding? Do you hate your back that much??
I've ridden LoPros as my everyday hack bikes since 2004! I'm just proportioned in a way that makes them comfortable for me to ride.

i've finally gotten round to posting my lo-pro.
this is my daily hack and my best bike.
ever changing saddles, although i really like the slr i got a couple of months ago.
i havent done anything to it in absolutely ages, a nice campag seatpost and it will be properly finished. but that can wait a while. -

I'd ditch the QR on the front wheel and change the bartape to black.
Oh and put a proper brake lever on there.
Nice bike.

• #35693
yeah, il probably get a pitlock.
i like my dirt harry :)
massive picture as well, trying to resize -

What would you consider "proper" on that shape bull horn?
-

• #35696
fair enough, tiny bit awkward though, when i get properly into the bars its a really aero position, having a brake there would be a pain, i normally ride on the bendy bit before the straight.
-
• #35697
lovely frame that superjoe... i personally prefer the brake where it is because you can get to it easier which is safer. just ride it and enjoy!
-
• #35698
yeah, i love it :)
i've had it for a while now and its served me well, went to southend on it. that hurt. -
• #35699
I just don't like the idea of a BMX brake lever on bars like that.

fair
Cheers.
The stickers came on the frame, and I have a feeling they're covering scratches, but I'm going to take them off and replace them if there's anything too nasty hiding under there!
