So I guess it's not a too bad deal at £160..
160 including a bell is a bargain.

Uhm.. Actually it's a bit annoying it's only 6-speed... Anyone know if I can use 9-speed ErgoLevers with the Chorus derailleur ? :)

And they are 650c? actually I would prefer them not coated.. :/
I've got the carbon version in 650c.
It's painted black, but looks like this underneath: -

Seems very unlikely, the cable pull will be all wrong for that rear dérailleur. It's not even Synchro on the down tube levers is it? There's potentially a problem with dropping 9s chain in between chainrings spaced for 6s chain too. If you're going to modernise it, you'll end up buying almost a whole groupset.

At least with 6 speeds, friction shifting isn't hard to get used to, much easier than friction with 8 spds.

It says both Syncro and Syncro2 ... Actually I think my other bike with campy is a 8-speed Athena. Not 9-speed.. And I have an extra set of ergo levers for that one..

Just the frame, front wheel/dynamo and light to go (very shit photo!);
Not long ago finished my porter bike. Love it, but it's a heavy somebitch!

Hah, that look pretty neat, the saddle is a wonderful touch.
Have you though about putting the Andes campag-style crank on it?
-
• #32438
I think a 3-arm TA crank would look good.

I would love to get Andels or similar for it. When I started the idea was to have a beater that I could kick about on and something without clipless pedals. I got a frame from Tel from here for next to nothing and started buying the cheapest components that ebay had to offer, hence the cranks. Then I got a bit carried away with the VO stuff :) I'll change them at some point either to the Andes or something more fitting if I catch something in the classifieds.
I've just got hold of a lo pro to play with now though and this one I want to do slowly and properly from the start, so the porter will likely have to wait.

I like the current cranks. Best porteur/shopper bike I have seen.
The saddle is incredible.

My Pompino. Nothing changed since October, apart from swapped the original tiger-print SDG saddle for a black one. Great bike.
Had it's first repair today after 9 months flawless performance. Broken spoke = wheel truing. Was heartbroken but now she's/I'm alright again.

Being pretty tall I will always struggle to make a frame look the right size. I ride it with the seat and stem that high (both well within their tolerances). It rides very well like that, but pretty used to high stem/seat combos. The frame is from what we can work out a 1969/1971 Claud Butler Olympic Road Race frame, Reynolds 531. Does the trick for what is a budget build. I take on board the brake cable comments, going to shorten them today.
Cheers,
Rich
