It is in fact, a mac. It would be the same shit on a PC.

Here is my finished project. 2 months in the building and my first attempt at something like this but I'm well chuffed with it. All comments welcome.
Richard, see how you go but from this photo the frame looks way too small for you.
Do you ride with the seatpost this high?
-
• #32409
Its a shame as the frame looks like a beaut.
-
• #32410
going to disagree with you on that

i think that its the checks in the background.
oh wait no. its the beautiful frame.... hypnotised -

Looks OK, and it looks like about a 25" frame. There aren't many bigger mass produced frames, so for what is obviously just a beater it's going to be pointlessly hard to find anything to suit your idea of proper fit.
-
• #32413
It doesn't quite look like a 25" frame to me and seatpost and stem look to be over-extended positioned to compensate for the "smaller than ideal" frame size (IMO).
Ultimately if the OP is happy than all good. I'm not commenting on "my idea of proper fit", just trying to be helpful.

Just the frame, front wheel/dynamo and light to go (very shit photo!);

blimey scwabs, that seat angle looks well straight, not much clearance on the front either

Ed what light are you going for? Something chrome?

It did look like a totally different bike with the gears... is it just the chain that's spoiling the party?
No.

Okay,
So I just bought this thing;
Sorry for the flood of photos..
The brakehandles look like C-Record, but what's the rest of the group?
Apart from a bit of rust on the bottom part of the top tube it seems to be in really good nick.. I think I'll try to get some matching pink and then just repaint that bit..
TSX tubing, pretty nice.. :)

Look like Chorus to me.
How can I tell? it look identical to my 90's Chorus groupset.

pretty much, dynamo attached to one side of the front rack, and a huge fuck-off shiny torch on the other end.

Ah.. I guess it is.. including the brake levers :)
So I guess it's not a too bad deal at £160... Even if it needs a bit of a clean up..

I'm keeping my eyes open for a used set of these;
I Actually think the aluminum-ones would fit the frame best...i have a set of those, i had them powdercoated black a at the beggining of the year, and they've been sat in my attic waiting for something new to put them on for a while...i could be persuaded to part with them.
i think the steerer is 150ish mm.... 1 inch threadless.

• #32424
And they are 650c? actually I would prefer them not coated.. :/

It's a deal at 160!, once you clean it up and tweak it, it should be running in no time.
use Photobucket and use the Thumbnail link option.
