Long Haul Trucker, Nuno's Carlton, KC's Quinn, that beautiful Colnago. All rad. Looking forward to seeing Boon's Bridgestone!
Cheers for the info, Skully. How much did the set come to (if you don't mind me asking)?
Sorry I can't really recall. I was buying a fancy headset and rack at the same time, plus some mechanic fees ...

Pretty much finished the Langdale now, and just knocked these 2 pub bikes together at the cost of only £20 for the coasters, the rest was all salvaged from kind people, messy garages and broken BMX's. Could do with a better saddle for one though!

My new Colnago. Will stick a centaur gruppo on for the time being, so I can ride it whilst I'm getting all the parts together.
Am in two minds as to whether to go for a mix of new and old, or to source parts from when the frame was made?
Ooh pretty:-)
For once not the hideous Arte or splattered paint jobsClassic Italian steel with contemporary gear is fun.
All the fantastic handling of Master frame geometry with the advances in wheels and shifting.
My mate's just got a Master and is slowly buying up contemporary Record and American Classic bits for it.
He's probably going to take it to Mario Vaz for the respray (Molteni Orange:-)Enjoy

Pretty much finished my Cia Battino. I'm sure some people are still hating me for getting rid of the original paint job but it's gone and I'm well stoked with the new RAL5021.
Tried to keep it period but with a few modern touches.
Just need a period seat post to replace the System X cheapy one that's on it now. Any suggestions? -

i know it's a stupid and essentially very minor personal niggle but it does annoy me when people build lovely looking bikes then don't take a straight side on shot - for some reason I never feel i can get a proper sense of how it all comes together/geo etc without one.
that aside, love build chris!

shit and giggle
lol
Does it really matter what Ed's bike is setup like, he will only have it for a month before changing to something else :-)
Exactly. What happened to his "bike for life" plan?

a) nothing wrong with a positive rise stem. you seem to suggest there is.
b) the drops do not have to be level to the ground. most seem to like them pointing toward the rear hub, but this is all personal fit and preference.comfort is the objective. not aesthetics for the messageboard crowd.
a) Of course there's nothing wrong with it, just doesn't look very aesthetically pleasing
b) Just looks more aesthetically pleasing...
Unfortunately as this is to all intents and purposes a messageboard all we can comment on is the aesthetics as none of us have ridden it...
Purely based on the aesthetics of this bike in its current setup 9/10 people on this forum would say this bike is not set up correctly for the rider or is incorrectly sized for the rider...

It got obliterated by medical issue.
Now it's worth trying to make a bike that does everything rather than fixie skidding it.

This I really like! Just try and find a seatpost to match the rest of the group...

queue your next observation that a bike that does everything can get pretty dull as it is not particularly good at any one thing by it's nature :-)

What on earth is going on with the front cable routing, looks like its looped?!
-
• #32019
that is just where the front and rear cables are overlapping, no loop.

Kerley, can I see some pics of your muddy play thing.

mmm, all depends which muddy play thing you are referring to. I am now using an SS cross bike ==> http://www.fizzypeach.co.uk/bike.html
Although my previous fixed plaything was the Scissor (top left) ==> http://www.fizzypeach.co.uk/old_bikes.html

that's a given, I am always surprised at what you come out with :-)
Did you knock this graphic up yourself or is there some kind of fixie generator webapp?
