Can we have a definitive on this? I've been setting my bars to optimise my own comfort these past 35 years, but if I've been doing it wrong I'm prepared to change.
For comfort you shall flip the bars. Ask Ed.

Gotta ask... does it and can you barspin?

it does, but not when riding as the wheel hits my foot if the pedals are horizontal. Why you ask?

Actually the wheel I got is a russian JUN trispoke I got of ebay.
The spin was just the that looked most like it in pedalmafia.com
This is the one I got, and it´s pretty lightweight. -

Not an alias.
Nope, not subtle.
it actually rides better like that, than with a 700 on the front. the geo on that piece of shit frame makes it handle like a cross channel ferry. Not sure why, but the 24" mtb wheel makes it ride nicely. It's fun to ride too.
I live in a small town and bike theft isn't a problem here, but if I pop to the library, or whatever on one of my nice bikes, I always feel I should carry my NY9000 with this, I don't bother locking it. It's so gash, and brakeless, with atacs on, nobody will even be able to ride it anyway...All in, I would say the bike totalled about £40. The only new parts were the rear hub, front chainring and bb. Everything else came from bikes at the local dump, or my spares box. Not bad...
Oh, and I only put the stem up for the photo... haha

My new Colnago. Will stick a centaur gruppo on for the time being, so I can ride it whilst I'm getting all the parts together.
Am in two minds as to whether to go for a mix of new and old, or to source parts from when the frame was made?

• #31997
That's a beauty.

Thanks.
There's a little bit of what looks like surface rust (on the paint which is weird), so I may send it off to get repainted (the same colour) and get the decals laquered on.
But not before I've ridden it...

Skully - where are you seeing these gum hoods? The Bob Jackson will be getting the old man treatment soon. Nitto Randonneurs have been bought. They're fucking ugly as sin but damn they look comfy!
^ Also....did you have to buy a pair of stoker levers and a pair of brake levers? If so, do you have the opposite levers around??
Hey wools
Missed all that^ the other day. Soz.
Answer: Brixton got me the levers. I asked for one lever and one dummy. They didn't expect me to buy a pair of levers.
I didn't stipulate which side I wanted the lever for (they're shaped to be a right or left one), and they got me a left one. Which I'm glad about, I've come to the conclusion I prefer having front brake lever available when I'm indicating to turn right, more than when turning left. So I have the left lever.
Re: gum hoods, I know for a fact they are made (def Cane Creek, probly the tektro version of the same lever, I dunno), mostly only seen them on US retail websites though. Actually come to think of it, I think I was only looking for replacement hoods, I did find the levers at wiggle or somewhere like that. I would ask BC to try and get hold of them if I were you. They're called Cane Creek SCR-5. Scott has some on the Hipster Touring Bike and I liked em.
Nitto Randos yeah I was mulling them over when I was building the Yates up, and the Noodles too. I'm using B105RD, not easy to find but I'm really enjoying using them
Just put some of the old really sloping/flaring old GB Randos on my brother's tourer build, I thought they felt really nice. He was well chuffed. Shoulda taken a pic for this here thread ...

Long Haul Trucker, Nuno's Carlton, KC's Quinn, that beautiful Colnago. All rad. Looking forward to seeing Boon's Bridgestone!
Cheers for the info, Skully. How much did the set come to (if you don't mind me asking)?
Comfort, woah, you clearly have no idea about bike setup.
