Crack n' fail R800 frame from Gooner. Has a very early diacompe aheadset. TT sticker covers a dent - was cheap. Omnium crank, ENO hub (had them both on a few different builds)
Looking forward to a test spin tomorrow in the sun!

1977 23" Mercian with some early 90s Campag parts that were on it when I bought it. It's a little small so it might be for sale...

Carl, love your Mercian, most especially the unusual seat tube paintjob.
Since a member hasn't got back to me about building me a trailer, I end up doing a quick duct-taped job as I can't be bothered to walk all the way to Tooting Bec station to pick up my locked bike that has been there for weeks;
it scraped on the road a bits.

new project, acquired from telford, lovely Olmo hand built frame, horrible paintjob (imo). i especially like the lug detailing and i think i will like the internal cabling, but i know its a bitch to install. columbus gara tubing in both frame and forks, with it i got a 105 groupset including hubs, with Fir rims laced to them. going to respray the f+f gunmetal grey (hopefully with a metallic sparkle) and strip the driveside chainstay down to the perfect chrome underneath.
are these headsets good? it is very strange
newly full shed
also got this with it, does anyone know how much this is worth? it will be sold here
multiple questions, sorry, it will also have a full 80s yellow olmo decal set.
the whole bike will be for sale when resprayed and built.
give me suggestions, advice, opinions etc.

Just been out for a test run... Need to change the stem, and will be swapping the wheels and pedals soon.
I could get use to this selectable gears malarkey.

Well, it's not exactly a project, and hardly a noble steed, but I've had plenty of fun on it so far. Just £30 for my first single speed bike, I'd say the best feature is a sticker that says it's from Hanover. Oh and it has plenty of patina.

braker ^^^ what size is that frame?
-
• #31368
Braker, that look fantastic, especially with SRAM groupset.
Felix, awesome (mostly on the cost side), ride it till it die.
Cheapest trailer ever? (£free) to be fair it is Clefty's which resides at my place instead of her for the last two years, need more duct tape though;
pretty sturdy despite being held together with duct tape I have to says.

Ed, The wonderful thing about train stations, is that you don't have to walk to them, you can get a train!
Hope this helps.

Walrus, how's the new frame coming along? Your first one was amazing!

I kinda like to spend my £2.50 on a pints to be honest.
Plus, this way is much more fun.

Miller, if that's 8 spd Campy hub then it isn't worth much. I can recycle this for you ;-)

if it's clincher, then it'd be worth a lots (check by revealling the tyres to see if it's glued onto the rims).

Slowly, I had to knock a wall down (well a bricked up doorway) to build a tiny workshop under my front steps before I was allowed to start (see below). I've also been planning an integrated rear rack (this will be a tourer) so have been buying random bits of stainless steel on eBay and doodling lots designs. Hopefully will be starting proper once the workbench is bolted down and the mess around the door plastered and re-papered. It's not easy, this framebuilding, you know.
Hahahaa epic drunken photo fail
Tim you cunt, i'm definitely not coming to Norwich now. Best leave the cabling to morning.
