Campag omegas FTW. what you lace them to?
What Stem/ bar combination you thinking of having?

  • OMG is this KhVZ Rekord I'm seeing here? You wouldn't happen to be from Southern Europe, from Italy namely?
Actually, nice build, i hope you enjoy it. And, speaking of headsets, please bear in mind that they are of specific, soviet, standard, so don't mess it up, or you will need to replace it with the fork as well :))

Yup, I'm not from Italy, from the UK; I got it from a guy who bought it back from Russia, or maybe the Ukraine. I'm aware of the weird headset - it seems OK for now, hopefully.

    thanks!

dura ace track hubs. cinelli stem+syntace stratos bullhorn.

  • Just finished putting together a new hack today. It's a bit ratty but it's pretty nice to ride.

Gonna ride it for the Strong Island bike ride in Southsea this Sunday and then strip it and give it a respray/tidy up.

  • A fork which matches the frame, presumably ;-)

What am I missing? I thought that was the original fork (based on what looks to be the same fork on maxcrowe's bike).

  • What am I missing?

The fact that every time somebody posts one of those Cannondales, I point out how shit the stock skinny steel fork looks next to the fat aluminium downtube.

  • Fair enough. I don't mind it so much. Now you've mentioned it though I'll agree it does look a little odd.

  • Chris Borneo, don't respray. it's awesome as is.

  • chris borneo-i have the ladies version of that in freecycle if you wanna make a pair
    :)

Cheers, I'm stoked on it how it is but I'm still gonna paint it.

  • ILDEMOESK? that would be a bit weird..

Yeah, about the same as e.g. OLNAGOC

  • just checked the website, nice girl :)

  • Just finished this, it took ages truing the wheels as it was my first attempt.

  • And how do you plan on stopping?

  • coaster hub

totally disagree. balances with the seatstays nicely.

    Ha! Bang...

  • totally disagree. balances with the seatstays nicely.

:) I agree. I think the forks just emphasise the downtube more than anything. Which is awesome.
