And how do you plan on stopping?
I think he is going to put his foot inbetween the tyre and top of the forks.

yeah there is a bit of a gap. Unfortunately the frame is for 27s. Thanks for the bitchy comment though as I hadn't noticed the gap.

Nice bike Adscan,
all i think it needs is a bigger chainring and nice old track drops.

Condor complete! Oh yes! Gone for two tone look with saddle, bars, not sure though. Really happy with it though, not bad for first build. Whadayareckon?

Errm fixed? Sorry about that!

• #26165
would be a lot nicer with a white saddle to match the white bar tape
-
• #26166
I thought that too, but then went for brown but changed my mind half way through. I dont know whether to go white or brown now!

it's a lovely effort mate, be very careful of the Deda tyres though, they're grippy and great to ride, but have no puncture protection at all in the slightest (that if you intend to ride it on the street).
if you're after gumwall tyres, look no further to the Pasela Panaracer TG tyres.

Cheers for the tip, i have already had a puncture so lesson learned there. They are Veloflex Pave

2nd attempt
http://www.lfgss.com/picture.php?albumid=1243&pictureid=7577very nice! and well done.
but i agree the saddle does not quite match, also you might want to sort out the funny angle on the saddle. -
• #26170
I have a white saddle so I might swap over. I was thinking of supercorsa for extra hipster points but decided against it ;)
I cant adjust the saddle except to move it back and forward, I think the seatpost wasn't designed for something with such tight angles so it ends up pointing down. Its not uncomfortable though but saying that I haven't ridden it for great distances yet as its just finished

Whadayareckon?
http://www.lfgss.com/picture.php?albumid=1243&pictureid=7577I reckon that much saddle tilt is usually indicative of a fit problem somewhere else on the bike.
EDIT: Are you sure you've assembled the seatpost head correctly? Nothing should have any trouble getting level with that saddle and a 74deg seat tube

What sort of thing might cause it do you think?

thanks very much. 42t chainring is about where I want to be.
Not sure about the bars yet. Put the risers on as I already had them and wanted to take it for a ride.
First time in a coaster hub for ages and makes a nice change from riding fixed. -

Sorted, I just adjusted the clamp. Everything level and true now! Cheers for the tips

i love how this forum is obsessed with clearances and gaps. it's really neat. like it's some mystery that can only be figured out by putting the bike together.
Err, not really, simmer down mate
