Just picked up the Rixon. It's much nicer in the flesh!
hhhmmm, not sure if i should keep the rixon stickers on it - thoughts?
Also, those atlanta rims seems really narrow, i was planning on using this for work has any one run 25's on these rims?i run 20s on mine, think they are designed for 19s really. i think 23s are ok, suspect a bugger to get on and off tho. Could always flip the wheelset the recoup your original outlay (edit: what are the hubs, miche too?)

yeah miche hubs too. I was thinking about selling the wheels, but i'm gonna hang on to them for now. I'll be using cxp 14/ goldtecs on this bike anyway(work mode)
I really dont need 2 wheelsets, but i'll end up regretting it if I sell them.

not silver, they are black. and not cut out
sonic cycles do gebhardt rings for pretty cheap, not cut out though. if you want old school look will have to go TA Specilities i think. Or just get another Miche?

• #20638
any good? I use the 84bcd version of these on an old stronglight chainset and the chainrings NEVER EVER WEAR, they're wicked. Bit big poss?

Think the newer Miche Primato have changed to 144bcd so it could be either... best to measure (but it will be 135 OR 144)

Dr.chan, you could try goldtec, double sided.

Surely all single rings are double-sided? Is flipping them a good idea, or are there down-sides?
-
• #20646
nope, they are usually made to be run single sided.
usually normal ones have cut-outs for the chainring bolts. on one side, some are machined only one side, and the teeth can be offset.
those goldtecs are machine to be run both sides. ie; machined on both sides for chainring bolts and teeth allignment. -

I agree with snoops, just keep the downtube sticker. Lose the rest.
