I actually think it looks better with the forks it has. The Cannondale forks always look like they belong to a steel tube frame to me.
Agreed, lugged forks for a lugged frame.

so what's the point in taking the deposit in the first place anyway?
guessing it ensures the customer is at least partly serious
Quite right.
Really? I was under the impression that your deposit stayed with Evans' but you could put it on another bike. Anyhoo fuck that, if they want me to spend my money there they should be doing the extra - not treating me like they're doing me a favour.
Nope. Thats a myth. You can have your money back in what ever form you paid it in (back on card or cash if you paid cash).
Not sure I understand the last bit. -

I don't doubt your skills but is that really worth the saving? Surely new dropouts aren't that expensive.
Considering safety and the killing of puppies...

Was also my 1st thought.
But perhaps it's for tandem (front) ...
But than I don't understand the 2nd chain ring and the toe clips orientation.
Perhaps this is why Columbus doesn't make chain rings.
Solution could be to have the pigeons "upside down" at the top and correct at the bottom.
Need to photoshop. What drugs/drink you lot on as i need some?
These cranks aint of (off or off of) a tandem. They came of a merckx road frame with pantographed campag group set. -

It's an Outpost Trail, late 90's I think. Ted James brazed on a lovely set of track ends for this. Out to the forest asap!
