  • I got the frame in the post yesterday, built it up last night.

Frame: F(ake) Moser (Australian built, Columbus tubing)

    Handlebars / Stem:
    Nitto RB021 / Cinelli 85mm

    Fork:
    F(ake) Moser

Front Wheel / Hub / Rim / Tire:
Velocity Deep V / Velocity / Continental Ultrasport

    Rear Wheel / Tire:
    Aerospoke / Vittoria Randonneur

    Crankset / Bottom Bracket:
    Ofmega Mistral / Miche BB

    Saddle:
    Sand Marco Rolls

    Pedals:
MKS Sylvans / Kid Killy plastic double cages / cheap double straps.

    Gearing:
    49 x17

  • Peng a deng deng.
Im not a huge fan of Spoks but, that IMO is one of the better builds with one included.

    A+ Your doing it right

  • I like, I personally don't like rear aerospoke, but that look simply superb!

  • Those colours have given me the horn. Brilliantly done!!

  • Thanks.

Just gotta level the bars and move the seat forward a touch.

  • bird orientation fail. they fly backwards as you ride forwards. WTF

    Was also my 1st thought.
But perhaps it's for tandem (front) ...
But than I don't understand the 2nd chain ring and the toe clips orientation.
Perhaps this is why Columbus doesn't make chain rings.
Solution could be to have the pigeons "upside down" at the top and correct at the bottom.
    Need to photoshop.

  • that moser build is nice, even with the rearspok

    S...

Could that really be the reason?... really, just 'cause of it's logo?

    +1

    Beautiful!

    Loic

  • liking the moser......keep the rear:)

  • Crap pic of my new chas roberts frame and some bits.
56cm square frame, 531, 120mm, late 70's so nutted brakes and just enough room for a slightly meatier tyre without stupid big gaps all over the shop. And yes, its salmon pink.

    TA cyclotouriste chainset(want 49t 1/8 chainring)
Gr-9 pedals, cheap aero post(part number 50-14 at sjs which made me smile this morning when it arrived)
Narrow belleri bars - much narrower than liz's belleri porteurs with slightly less drop as well.
Needs brakes, a really long stem to give me a normalish riding position with these bars and some paselas so i dont have to ride on my hipster white zaffs.
Wheels will be the shimano/ma2 off my current bike.

Tempted to faux-porteur it but i probably won't get round to modding the front rack i've got to fit.

  • Crankset / Bottom Bracket:
    Ofmega Mistral / Miche BB

    Sweetest cranks everrr.

  • Heh, a duel between LFGSS's two biggest know-it-alls.

    No offense, Ed!

  • here's my current project, building it up over the next few months.

  • Nice. What size is it?

  • 58

  • http://imgboot.com/images/jeremybenda/img1551.jpgalmost finished. Just need my pedals and straps. sorry for the huge pic

  • Cannondale? Man you need to get someone to make you some proper Cannondale track forks for that thing - they don't look half as good without 'em!

  • yeah i know it will be the next thing

  • Yeah. I know.
And I got to touch an 18 carrot gold plated pantographed Dura Ace groupset built for the King of Arabia today. The kickstand is boss though.

    is it stuff like this:

    beauty!!!!!!

I actually think it looks better with the forks it has. The Cannondale forks always look like they belong to a steel tube frame to me.

  • nice work tomasito and verbs & nouns. v & n that moser is especially lovely. but nice to see the bullhorns being used on that and tom's khs. they look good and do offer lots of riding positions. i miss mine.

tom, hope you're all settled in the dam dude. love to you & b

  • i'm in two minds about the arrival of this beast...

oh well every man needs 2 lo pros in his life, and it should make a fun build!

  • looks like that will be a real beast. I'm not overly keen on lo-pro's as a rule, but that one's got my name on and looks like it has a crazy paint job too.
