New araya gold/dura ace wheels arrives soon..
Nice.
Don't know much about Level, I'm probs confusing them with Levant.

As far as I know, they aren't.
But even then, it's possible to fill them (or use them as dynamo or low rider bosses ;-) ).Tom buys the blades in (as most do) and I'm pretty sure they're pre drilled. As the frames going to be black they won't be too noticable and not something I even thought of although I had noticed them in the pics. It's also possible there's a reason why it's where it is?
Also Tom reminded me that the lug set is not Sachs but a different maker (just to get me facts right!!).

Assuming your saddle height in that photo is correct for your leg length, you'll probably need a 58cm, not a 56cm.
I had a 58, the problem is my legs are slightly too long, and my body is slightly too short. 58 really hurt my back. i thought 56 would have been too subtle a change, wasn't quite prepared for the drastic difference in feel. I felt like a cartoon character this morning, its amazing how much difference 4cm actually makes

Shorter stem on a 58cm frame?
-
• #19682
yeah I was gonna try that, the stem arrived in the post after I'd already sold the 58 to get this pretty one.. d'oh

I'm confident it will work!

maxcrowe, I'm probably going to take your advice. Luckily I kept the stumpy stem so if/when I get a 58 again, if it hurts my back I'm totally going to 'dis' you. Online.

Haha, yeah 6'5"
The seat to bar drop is rediculous, but makes a really good aero position. -

I remember skating with that guy years n years ago, really nice dude. The wiiija flower/screw was a good image too, that was his right? I had some insane gear too, it was good stuff. Weirdly I was thinking about them only yesterday.

here's my current project a geary. this is the first bike i've built. Done everything myself so far. i'm waiting on a miche supertype seatpost and a regina freewheel. Gotta sort out gear + brake cables and a phil wood bb, but then it'll be good to go. I was thinking of going with yellow wheels and yellow bar tape. Any thoughts?
