Oooh! Looks very nice.
Very long head tube though. Either camera angle/shot or you a big dude? -

been like it for a couple of months on my macbook too. most images don't load on the flick page and firefox crashes every hour or so. threads with lots of images only load half of them (on any site) would swap to safari but there is an issue with importing passwords/favorites.
connection is fast 5-6mbVery nice choice on the DT rollers

Need to make a few adjustments and remove a couple of stickers, so still work in progress.
Big thanks to:
Hillbilly for helping me assemble this project
Object, Dogsballs and Corny for BB advice - you guys were right!
Superprecise for his eye for aesthetics
and any other poor sod who I have either bored on this matter or whose advice or opinion I have soughtPhoto was taken after Sano's birthday drinks (I even had a few shots of Sambucca in celebration of Ian getting older and that the bike was now assembled), so not the best picture.
GUUUD skillz on the build! PM me all the geeky info
In fact are you out and about tonight? I wanna see it! -

Is that a Tour De Ville jobby? Looks nice...
-
• #1863
^ Yep.
They posted an offer with identical frames in various sizes a few weeks back....
Hopefully won't look like a bag of shit after i've applied my remedial design skills to the build. -

@burny
Tape on the bars... puppies... ready ...what they said^If you remove the mini mudguards (to put full ones on, naturally) I'll have em... Could do a saddle chop & treatment for you in return...
If you want to convert to fixed-wheel this bike, easiest to respace the rear hub (buy local friendly wheel whizz pints) and change to a suicide cog arrangement ... Gorilla Grip + BB lockring for the cheapo win.
But you should on no account do this due to puppies being alive. Right now.

Nice, but remove rear brake lever? or do you like resting on hoods?
-
• #1867
@dancing james
Understated and elegant, that^! I love it. -
• #1868
Yep, thanks Skully, I went to the BikeWorkshop in Bristol and thats basically what he said to do. Which is what I will be doing in a couple of months I reckon, but think i'll just ride it as is for now and see how I get on with it. I've wanted to d the fixed for a while now which is my main reason for buying it!
Have ordered some of the Elk grips on freshtripe to match with the brooks sadle.
Thanks for the coments.

I like riding on the hoods - hence two levers
the idea behind the build was functionality, performance and durability
there are enough others making pure porn
the bike has exceeded my expectations and am hoping there is not much more I can do to it now.
-
• #1870
It does look like a smooth ride! I'm all for functional.
