... Am also not sure whether to get any components painted. I was going for an old school look - just paint the frame pearl white and have polished components.....
....Why not an electric blue frame with matching seat post and stem...also paint the gear levers, the chainring (a big aero Rotor Cranks thing), the headset...where does it end?...
I even caught myself lusting after chrome bar tape on this shouty red Walker....
imo less is best. Nothing wrong with electric blue, but painted components rarely works. Remember gears, canitis, etc. are all relativly fusy so you want to keep it simple.
Chrome bar tape = fail. Always.
BTW - you've done a great job there.

whats the frame?
it's an american made taylor.. i wish he had a better website!
it's got a beautiful teardrop downtube, cant wait to give it a spin!
it's same height as my old green condor but longer, worried my saddle to bar drop might be uncomfortable but wont know till i try it, plonked on some risers last night and it looks beefy

:)how long is the toptube? because it does look a bit long with that stem and drops.
However very very nice bike!@ the crane, awesome build!

:)That looks very nice. Assuming you picked it up second hand rather than having it made?

yup yup, second hand of course- but i am gangly.. it's gonna fit, just need to figure out the perfect length stem, has a road fork on at the mo too, might get a shorter rake one on there

Really feeling this, looks like it'd be a sweet ride. What's wrong with Thomson btw? I'd say the stem and post were bang on for that build...? Just curious.

+1 Looks really good with all black components.

finished!
well i say finished, but no bike of mine is ever really finished, due to lack of money and patience i went for thomson stem and seat post, but those will probably be gone at some stage, al the bb will probably be upgraded, and a few other things that will only be improvements on a very solid bike
this bike is a joy to ride, even in the wet, a little bit squirrely in the wet at speed, but still a lot less tiring and a lot smoother than the old pearson
I love this, nicely done mate, very stylish and classy, looks beefy but still sleek...awesomeness.
Any chance of a Spec list/run down of all the components?

Just a couple of little tweeks then out for a ride.

Nice one KC, I'd lower the stem a bit then it's perfect.
And raise the saddle but obviously if it fits it fits.

Mr Crane, that looks wonderful, such a robust yet elegant frame. Very jealous.
