Yeah - I posted the cream one in anti-porn.
but IMO the blue carbon just about works, but just don't see the point.

I originaly wanted black spokes + nips, but couldn't justify the extra cost for a bugget build.
The contrast of the silver looks much better IMO. They dont look like budget wheels.

Thanks... after looking at quite a few old builds where they're running mavic's ma40's with silver spokes and hubs I've really started to dig them.
BTW truing is a mission!.... thinking about leaving for a bit and taking them to a mate with a truing stand.

thanks everyone,
this Hetchins frame is direct order from Hetchins,
the frame model is Magnum Opus De Luxe,
you can phone them to ask another model,
maybe they still doing for, or can help you find way to make,
they're quite good for doing things to customer,
we were confirm or discussing with this frame about 50 mails,
that's true, 50 mails,
IMO, they're really quite responsible bike make. -

Yeah. Best bit of advice from sheldon on wheel building is to allow alot of time, and not to force yourself to complete them in one sitting.

Couple of bikes I have built for my Girlfriend this year. Built the BSA Metro in April so kinda new and the Eddy Merckx replica a couple of weeks ago. It's kind of an in between bike to try and get her used to a half decent riding position before I build her a propper bike. Only cost me £25 plus some tyres some bar tape and some paint. Thinkin I might build myself a propper replica of the Eddy Merckx hour record bike. It's just so rad.

by replica you mean....."I used the same colours"

haha.
Whatever my arse. It looks nothing like the Merx above it. Different geo, drop outs, tubing, colour, size and build. Whats a replica about it??? Seriously... -
• #16692
i agree you seem to have made an orange fixed gear bike

How much for one of those Hetchins frames? I've been marvelling at it, I don't know if I want one. It's gorgeous but a bit of me thinks it's too much. The builds on the website, there's just no need. Surely you want completely plain components, otherwise it just looks like a Christmas tree. I am a bit of a noob though, so what do I know?

Carbon forks!? Those builds are hideous.
Also not a fan of ornate lugs, but jeez marcola, you've got an amazing frame there and i'm sure you'll do it justice. Congrats.
