that's a stunning frame, especially the lug with little holes, don't see that often.
capella lugs ed
In 1959 Carlton reorganised their range. Out went all the various lugs and in came a new style of lug designed for Carlton - the Capella lugs.
A new range of models utilising these lugs were announced and these models - the *Catalina*, *Clubman*, *Continental* and *Constellation* - were to continue through to 1965. The other models in the range used either Carlton or Italian long-line lugs, although Capella lugs could be fitted to the *Flyer* if ordered. The International lugs reappeared briefly in 1962-3 on a new *International Grand Prix* model. ![](http://www.carltoncycles.me.uk/details/images/1959-01.jpg)

Result, I've managed to reduced the weight of my bike from 19lbs (8.6kg) to 17.5lbs (8kg), all it take is a different wheelset (front DP Swiss 1.1 with low flange miche, rear is condor hubs with Mavic Open Pro), a titanium stem and a Charge Knife saddle, it's pretty ugly, but I honestly don't care.
A pretty good weight lost, considering that OTP track bicycle that weight similar costing £1500.The next thing to do is to get a Thomson seatpost instead of the ugly steel one that I currently have, I might add some clipless pedals but I still prefer to ride with normal shoes.
What you doing with that Charge saddle on there Ed? It doesn't look right to me, need something classier.

^i think somehow it works. otherwise i would have noticed it straight away.
might be the seatpost and stem that help it to not look shit.
the bob looks good ed, most of all it looks really comfortable.

Impressive stats there. ;)P.S when someone talks about my stats, I get sudden flood of visitors to my page haha. I probably should say the stats went from 60ish to 48 now :P
Anyway... question time for me. Now, Id like BMX platform pedals. Yes I know it doesnt 100% go with the frame, but it is a beater for a good while...Nevermind! :)
So recommendations please? I dont have a lot of money, so up to £30 would be good. -

I cant find this new frame i got anywere on the tinterweb
It has a sticker on it and i can make out columbus tubi speciali trafilati then some other stuff which is rubbed off
The decals say certini which leads me to a bike shop in cornwall somewhere but i doubt its made there
what do you think? -

in bold ^
yes it look like a mismatch in component that shouldn't be on the bike, but I reach to the point that I don't care about appearance (well, a little) and just enjoy riding my bike as comfortable as possible, oh thank max by the way.

Which bike shops in central london sell 2nd hand parts?
I always seem to hear about 'parts bins in your LBS'... what shops have these? - It would be really handy to know.
