Today i spent all day polishing up a nice sturmey archer stem, some drops and then went down to my LBS and bought a pair of Sugino RD48s for £20! Should be good to go in about a week...

@ dracula - that looks like a nice finish on the frame.
How long did it take you? and how much did respraying end up costing you all in?
Its not too bad.
it took me a leisurely afternoon....the most time consuming bit was probably the masking of the lugs but other than that it was pretty straight forward.

Thy have both been used on the road the guy used to do TT'S on them he had them on an old 531 bike they did look really odd,I had an idea to do a bit of a stelth type thing I just won this on the bay so I was going to have it powdercoated black no white chains I promise but it may look ok as it is.

Have to say, I am not a fan of the 3g
Of all the carbon 'spokes' they are probably my least fave (not including le 'spok of course :-) )

Ain't no crabon in a 'spok. Though in some kind of sick twisted joke they have actually done a fake carbon print on some.

He ain't that much taller than me and I cannot even sit on that bike, he has freakishly long legs.

My dad put it together for me last night whilst I was out, how nice of him, still not roadworthy just yet. Still not 100% comfortable with the handlebars, but still going to give it a go - if it is, then it's obviously going to be re-taped.
It feels the right height for me though, but again will see. Thanks to those who helped me out and gave me brill advice. Going fixed in hopefully next two weeks soon as I've sorted out a BB. It will be a beater for now too.
Here's a crappy mobile picture.
