That's abit too much for me!

I was thinking something more like this

  • That's a bit harsh, it's a decent colour scheme he's got with the frame, seatpost and stem, just needs to get a black saddle and it's looking promising.

And sort out the stem/spacers combo

  • CTZNSmith - that is a fabulously disgusting colour. well done, i like it :)

Thankyou, it's all about 'being seen by cars'. :)

  • Just waded through lots of Cinelli Mash bikes on the internet.

Most looked the same, not particularly bad, just the same.

Black seatposts, white saddles with black bar and stem combos were the norm.

Maybe a deliberate but subtle splash of colour would make them come alive for Pistanator. That's where I'd start.

Just throw some Ralph Lauren stickers on it..

  • Just throw some Bape, Supreme, BBC stickers on it..

    Such a non-hipster Hippy!

Now fixed to make you a little bit more street (YouAintStreet-tm):)

  • The next faze in my Brooklyn fixed tourer project, aka 'The chocolate Donkey' is complete. I now have a brake on the front, and bottle cages on the sides of the fork legs...along with a switch to a smaller chainring too.
    Pics to follow later.

The whole thing will be done this week in time for riding the dunwich dynamo.

  • You should see Harry Major's bike.

That might work if all was all the same shade of pink.

*i always think; another wasted time at art school.

  • Indeed.

  • This has been a bit of a budget build.. not too sure about the reflector will probably take it off. Need to get a new saddle, and brake.. The stem wont budge, stuck in, it can spin around but wont come out.

What is good in the way of front brakes.

Oh and I am going to re-spray the frame in a few months when i have time. Got some cool ideas.

Nice for cruising. When you get the new saddle, maybe try a different angle? Same with the bars (ends shouldn't point up). Try learning to ride with clips ASAP too. Makes all the difference.

  • How did you managed to get brakes on the BMW?

  • yeah, like, its not yours
yeah right, if you think so. spending money doesn't make something nice. sometimes quite the opposite.

  • Like a sailor catching crabs on shore-leave?

  • I have to stop looking at this thread. Im itching so bad.

    it gave you thrush?

    cranberry juice ftw

    sorry if i missed something.

  • cranberry juice ftw

    sorry if i missed something.

    STOP PICKING ON MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, garlic cloves and frozen plain yogurt (not together) works well, FYI, too.

  • cranberry juice .

I find natural yogurt, wrapped in a rizla & fired through a straw also works...

and it's a fun game to play while treating something that generally doesn't even get discussed.

  • How did you managed to get brakes on the BMW?

Well as it's gonna be my fixed tourer from now on i had canti bosses and bottle bosses brazed on. :)

Just out of interest.. why did you choose a BMW to be your tourer? Was that the originall plan or just ended up as one? I thought it was more of a trick frame? Not saying a dissagree with it just curious!?

  • Having rode a BMW, it's a really comfortable bike that handle lovely without it feeling slow, not those proper tight track frame that's fun to ride but uncomfortable for long distance.

  • Yeah, that makes sence. I haven't ridden one but i see what you mean.

The Gangsta was never intended to be an out and out trick frame...the fixed tricks style of riding blew up after the gangsta was designed...it just happened that it was one of the stronger frames out there and so better suited to tricks than most.
It's main purpose was to be a strong, comfortable frame for couriers.
It was actually based on Joe's original Raleigh track frame, which he rode for years before the Gangsta appeared...that bike was a fairly laid back, comfy frame...as is the Gangsta...it makes a perfect choice for a tourer as it's really tough, really comfortable, has huge clearances, and isn't too steep.
I've been riding mine for over 2 years now and have loved every ride on it....hopefully now it's gonna take me to places far and wide too instead of just caning it around the streets. :)

  • Scott, i can't wait to see it! who did the brazing?
I'm betting its going to look super awesome epically ace!

  • cranberry juice ftw

    sorry if i missed something.

you missed the funny boat. it left a few minutes before you posted.

I really might pull the trigger on this one.

  • The Chocolate Donkey is one step nearer completion... :)

    Front brake (makes a change)...

    Fork mounted bottles...
    ]

    Mission control...

Saving space with my lights...piggyback anyone?...

Next faze is to finish the frame bag and gastank bag....then design and make the saddle bag.
Oh...and some SKS raceblades too for a dry bot bot. :)

Spot brand make some good stuff....they had a rep for being overpriced a while ago....but that's probably because they were one of very few singlespeed companies around back then....maybe their prices are better now?

I personally love 29ers though so let me know if you go for it :)
