If you want to barter the frame it's possible it's too big for me ... -

Can you get spares though? I need the cog part of a ratchet for a set I have (don't remember if right or left). Last I checked you couldn't.

Unfortunately not which seems like a major oversight on SRAM's part. Definitely poke around on here though, I posted a spare/broken ratchet bit to @MCamb after the plastic cable retainer bit went. Also @Jules used to have a dead one which I was going to buy off him, not sure what happened to it.
They come up on eBay pretty regularly for not very much, you'll want one that is broken at the shift lever, broken brake lever or cracked on the plastic housing. I have read that some models are incompatible with each other but both @MCamb and I managed to repair them without knowing which specific model was which.
Also the Red shifters supposedly have a stainless ring which is a lot sturdier and less prone to the teeth breaking off, but I don't know whether they're compatible or not. Maybe someone on here has one of each and can try swapping over the internals for the greater good
Edit: also @Jaap says the left and right ring are interchangeable - maybe he knows more about it. My left shifter definitely had different bits to my right one though.

Watched a few yt videos while foing mine. The general consensus is that that the left and right ratchet mechanisms are deffo interchangeable with 10 speed levers.. would have to investigate 11 but I don’t think they are.

I am very tempted, but I have just put together a road bike and I am trying not to collect things as much :). What length is the top tube?
I think I have some of those pedals, I will be happy to trade something or just send them to you for the cost of postage

Yeah on the 10 speed you can change ratchet cogs between left and right. You can see the extra teeth on the other side of the cog on frankbike's picture. Just rotating the ratchet cog 180 degrees turns your shifter from 2 speed to 10 speed (front to rear).
You can't do this on 11 speed shifters though.

I do it for leisure, yes.
However most people see new parts as new parts - doesn't matter if it is high end tyres or low end ones.
I did try to put a £60 new pair of Michelin Endurance tyres on an Easton alloy bike and the end price was the same (£240) I would have got with low end Vittoria Zaffiro.
I only do it to get nicer parts for myself so it is not a commercial enterprise

Cheers really chuffed actually. The BB threads excellent so just figured I'd buy the Campag fit Park wrench and do it myself, as being Italian the drive side will probably unscrew itself at some point. Going to get the headset fitted this weekend as I lack the tools, I have a sealed Shimano 600, so will get spacers put in rather than cutting the column as I will get a nice Campag when funds permit. I've gone for tubs rather than clinchers. I'm umming and ahrring about buying the Campag ultraglide cable set as at £27 it's a lot of dough at the moment, although it will do the brifters and the brakes in one go. Got a little flash of yellow teflon cable for the derailleur as suggested by @PhilDAS and will get some black cork tape. Got the obligatory fastmanscog™ on the back lol.

Degrease and threadlock!

Are you in London(se)? You can use mine if so.
Also I have parts of a Campag threadless headset, would sell for cheapz. if you can find a crown race you’ll be in business ;)

Ahh... yes was going to ask about this, which one would you go with?

Think it’s threadlock ‘blue’ you want. Anyone able to confirm? I can check my toolbox later though
swapped the set back for an inline, feels much better now. Just got to get used to road bikes and gears again :)
