This converter is required if your front fork on your bike has a 15mm thru axle and you need to install a wheel with 12mm axle compatiblity.

  • These are Mavic specific and will not work on any hubs.

  • Gotcha

Edit: They all say that though don't they. Its round, how is it brand specific?

  • How they fit with the hub will effect the spacing

  • Can't get my tiny head around it

They give precisely the opposite answer to one of the other enquiries.

Fork adapters are the fork manufacturer's business, since the design will be contingent on how they anchor the 15mm through bolt in their fork, and how they intend to anchor a 12mm through bolt in the adapter.

  • Yep, had a ballache with this recently. Trying to find a 15>12 adapter for a wheel that was going into a Canyon fork.

Tried 4 or 5 different things, nothing worked, so I sold the wheels.

What wheels are they @MechaMorgan. The manufacturer may have adaptors, though I'm sure you've already thought of that.

  • Tried 4 or 5 different things, nothing worked, so I sold the wheels.

    and they're brilliant.

  • Seems like an awfully bad idea. 3mm reducer, double threaded in the right leg (but still, 3mm between threads) and in the other side? Nothing to hold it.
    I'd rather change the hub

  • Unfortunately, I still feel like I should buy some track scrap in 2k17..

  • 👌awesome

  • yesss! Nice hubs, I'll hopefully receive some tomorrow or next week :) Full pics?

  • Proper. That green & yellow faces frame ... lovely tubing!

  • 10 year anniversary of 2007 innit.. rattlecan it baby blue!

  • This is currently making me smile a lot (pictured here in rare 'not covered in mud' guise)

  • Acha d'un Michel Air avec François ? : )

  • Never a bad idea, especially if the tubing is nice :)

  • No changes but some nicer pics of my Mash. Unfortunately the place in the background, one of Sweden's most known graffiti spots is being torn down

  • @Sig_Arlecchino These are so slick, had a pair years ago, then sold them.. What a mistake, I will not pass this time..

I will take some, but still have a lot to do on it..
It's an old cycling club piece, condition is far away from perfect..
Original fork is missing, and everything need to be serviced, I'm gonna tune up the french treaded BB this afternoon, in order to be able to fit some Sugino Mighty crank, a riser and have a ride..

@Tijs Believing the BB stamp, tubing is SuperVitus 980 Profil Arcor, which was the SuperVitus high end tubing set (also the most expensive) at the time. Describe as a "racing super professional tubset" by supplier

@Gaston Nous étions ensemble lors de sa prise et des miennes. Le sien n'est pas encore identifié, les miens sont des Alain Michel, le blanc c'est sur, le Aéro moins..

  • Really really good.

  • I can confirm that, received the wheelset today and the hubs spin oh so smooth, at least as smooth as my dura ace and c-record hubs. How many holes do yours have? The frame looks ace! Didn't expect the blue front end :)
