Oh and headset says 1" x 24 BSC, Italy - anyone know what size stem that would take?

Damn those are some good wheels you have on there ;) How are they holding up?
This is my current project:
Not sure about the radial front, but you cant have the Chub built any other way imo.
Also not sure about the saddle/position and the bars... risers drops or bullhorns will all go.Rear rim is a Rigida Dp 18. Not a velocity. (note too self: take velocity sticker off now)
that thing ride lovely, it's a lots more comfortable than I thought it would be, mate you were so excited that I could hardly hear you!

the alan is finished!
may change the saddle and get a shorter stem and fully tape the bars but just in time for the summer proper! just needs a tighten up and will be taking her for the first proper ride. The wheels are dp18/on one lf.I love the light blue anodized finish on the aluminium tubes looks fantastic in the sun, may polish the lugs up a bit too. for more info on the frame http://www.classicrendezvous.com/Italy/alan.htm got it for £20 off ebay :).

If you trawl through some old threads Tynan, of LFGSS's famous Tynans, came up with a working proto of a completely lit seatpost.
I think he stole the idea off of Mother Theresa though. The monospoke one he got off of Jebus.

Dynamo off The Running Man thought of it first.

netherless in practise it's not idea, since the part are more exposed to the elements, and water are more prone in getting in the seatpost.
it'll fail a lots in rain due to tyres spraying water on the light.

even in england it doesnot rain every day i guess, just use it on the good weather bike :)

If it was sealed in properly with adequate lashings of silicone it oughtn't allow water in...
I'd kind of forgotten about that plan actually!! Must reinvestigate!

well done, but you should have the seatpost clamp facing backwards.
cheers, noted and swapped.

don't all bike lights come with fittings to attach to the seat post anyway?

1979(?) Guerciotti track
had it repsrayed dark grey gloss. NOS decals.
campag record/mavic wheels
campag record seatpost
campag headset
campag record pista cranks and bb
aero gran compe brake
cinelli 1R stem
cinelli 65-40 bars
cinelli volare saddlesince photo i've stuck on some campag pista pedals with campag clips and brown odge double straps. may stick my mks touring pedals and plastic clips on though as they're more comfy. or get some mks stream.
think the stem is too short for drops. may stick risers on anyway, for the road...and ftw. got some nittos, so will need to shim.
add more/better photos when i get hold of a camera.
