I've had putrified shark, to be taken with a shot of some weird liquor. Rank as FFuuuuu.
Probably one of the worst taste experiences of my entire life.
And to think in Iceland they call it lish.Brenvin that was an experience and I think for the tourists

I had quite an amazing brunch yesterday. We had tomatoes with mozzarella and cabbage salad with cucumber and mayonaise, all kinds of meats and bacons and ham and then creamy blue cheese, assorted vegetables and loads of jams and croissants with butter and then loads and loads of fruit. It's one of those brunches that you know you shouldn't eat so much, but just can't stop. :)
We allow ourselves this kind of eating only on a Sunday, before a long walk or run. Otherwise, with all this sitting in the office, it's all salad for me. :)

Akvavit > Brændevin. Carawayflavoured, served at room temperature with rye and potkæse (old bits of strong cheese mixed with akvavit and/or rum and then left in a jar for months). Wonderful... -

Aquavit is served in germany ... but ice cold, straight out of the freezer.

That's a Danish akvavit and I'd serve that one at room temperature. But yeah, they get served cold here too.

How odd... was just looking through Norwegian/Finnish food (salted fish etc.)
Just came across this:
PoronkäristysSautéed reindeer with mashed potatoes, lingonberry and gherkin. Looks/sounds amazing.
Anyone know where I could get Reindeer and Lingonberries from?
http://www.finnishchurch.org.uk/ Go here for the Christmas market and they have it.

Last nights dinner, made mostly by 'swine. x
Was really good.
Just got back from The Rye... all the staff were wasted! Hilarious! I think I got the pig's ear in my bap, was crispy, delicious and ear shaped.
