  • I'm dreaming of a seafood x-mas.
My dad always gets King Crab legs for x-mas,
that is a Muthafecking WIN! Can't wait!

  • I love crab/lobster/langoustine etc.. But am always disappoint that it's so much work for so little (incredibly tasty) food..

  • That's where the King crab is...er....King.
Each of its legs has more meat than a normal size Lobster.
Well worth the spent* (I'm not sure here, but it's roughly £50-70/kg in portugal)

  • ffffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!

  • What's the name of that place in Soho, where you can have Lobster and chips?
It's next to G.A.Y. if memory doesn't fail me...

  • so they are! i was thinking razor clams - and some regular clams - white wine, stock, steam the fuckers, bit o cream seeing as it's sunday, parsley, chased down with the freshest white wine money can buy.

Navajas! Razor clams!... I could also eat these every meal time... The Asian supermarket in Brixton market generally haas these in stock, cheap too... Team it with a chilled glass or two of Albariño, my favourite white wine ever, absolutely fucking delicious... About £7 a bottle...

  • there's an asian supermarket in beelixton?

no one told me. do you know if they sell oxtail?

  • You can get ox tail from most of the butchers in the market (Brixton) - not hard to find...... tasty tasty goodness.
Asian supermarket = Wing Tai on Electric Ave (opposite Greggs the shittybakers-ish)

I can really recommend the new South American butchers on Atlantic Road for oxtail, they'll cut it for you fresh on the bandsaw... Very good, cheap in there too...

  • Is that the place with the blue/red/yellow (Ecuodorian?) flag out the front??? Same side as argos, but further along?

  • i'll have a butchers.

made oxtail the other night - does anyone else boil it before hand? did so at the behest of M.I.L and there was a lot of unpleasant looking scum that rose to the surface which had to be skimmed off. still turned out incredibly well - nearly a full day in a pot and very low simmer mind you.

I dredge it in seasoned flour, seal it in a hot *greased skillet**, then I cover with stock and let it simmer for several hours...

    • Love saying that...
  • may i take you back to the moro for a moment?

just tried to get a table for friday but it's fully booked. anyone got any other recommendations for a date-a-licious friday dining spot? north of the river preferably.
