Where's the bacon and mushrooms? Not to mention fried bread>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
-
• #2879
Well you couldnt put mushrooms in a pork pack and the bacon might go off sooner than the sausage, on the back it says 'serve with eggs, mushroom, bacon, beans and friend bread'

As we all know spicy mint jelly is the king of condiments...
I was making some cheese on toast last night and decided to combine the two... not bad, I think the mature cheddar hid the mint (possibly why it tasted alright) the spicyness worked
In other news I'd persuaded work to head to Bodeans on friday for lunch, it's only cocking booked up... so we're heading to the hawksmore instead

Go to Fulham http://www.harwoodarms.com/ for a couple of pints and a few epic scotch eggs
-
• #2888
Having been to both, go to the sister (and original) pub http://www.thesandsend.co.uk/
The scotch eggs are actually better there. My girlfriend used to live down the road from there and we got to know the staff, if they ran out of scotch eggs they sometimes got the kitchen to knock up some to order. If you've never had a scotch egg fresh out the oven with the yolk still runny you are missing out! -

Didn't realise they had another - close by too. The couple I had at the Harwood were warm and delicious, but I'm up for trying more. So moreish. Thanks for the recommendation.

I once lived with an Italian too, my mate Stef. I hadn't realised he was vegetarian, and was disappointed when I did. I was looking forward to tasty, meaty Italian food. But he turned me on to how good vegetarian food can be. He cooked all the time, and all of it was gorgeous. Once a month he'd get a food parcel from home, full of authentic pasta, parmesan, oil, pulses, tinned this and that, home-grown vegetables, on and on it went. Superb food. With good vegetarian cookery, you never miss meat.

My Mrs is vegetarian and a very good cook but if I haven't had meat for about 3 days I get withdrawal symptoms
